The tournament committee accepted bids for the following shoots: State Target at Sauk Valley in Dixon Sept. 7 & 8, State Field at Panther Creek Aug. 24-25, Aggregates for 2020 at Sauk Valley, Wenois, and Buckskin Legacy. Written bids for State Indoor Championship 2020 need to be submitted to IAA Secretary by July 1, 2019. All upcoming shoots and dates are listed in the Coming Events. New team hunt requirements! It only requires 2 members to form a team and registration is open until the end of archery season. Find an IAA hunting buddy and sign up for the competition! Board of Directors Meeting The IAA Board of Directors meeting was held Nov. 4, 2018 at Golden Corral in Springfield. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Robert Rayhel at 10:00 A.M. Pledge of allegiance was led by Tim Eller. Robert Rayhel, Director, spoke on leadership and presented a gift to past Director, Judy McCutcheon-Adams who spoke on her thirteen years as Director. Roll call of officers and delegates was taken with the following present; NFAA Director, Robert Rayhel; Chairman, Tim Eller; Northern board, and Randy Rutledge; Central board, Roger Nieders and Kathy Pindell; Southern board Judy McCutcheon-Adams,, and Patrick Eller. Cassie Flood and Don Craig were absent. Others attending were Aris Vogel, Dan & Christie Batsch, Rick Adams, Bill Mohn, Jerry & Sharon Trame, Scott Anderson, and Corey LaRose and family. The minutes of the last meeting were distributed to the board members in advance. Judy McCutcheon-Adams made a motion, 2 nd by Roger Nieders to accept. Motion carried. The financial statements were accepted by a motion from, 2 nd by Judy McCutcheon-Adams. Motion carried. Director Robert Rayhel reported on club and shop renewals not following the NFAA constitution when done online. He also gave information from the NFAA on an archer failing the drug screening after winning several major tournaments and new regulations coming for stricter policies. The NFAA Directors will be meeting in July in Yankton. Convention, Constitution committee, RIC, Youth, Tournament, and Membership and Club Retention committees had no new reports. Bowhunting and Conservation- reported no hunt teams had registered. A motion was made by Patrick Eller, 2 nd by Judy McCutcheon- Adams to reduce the team number to a 2-person team. Motion carried. The deadline will be extended to the last day of archery deer season and registration should be sent to IAA Secretary. Awards committee will continue discussion of new awards for State Championships and Aggregates at the April meeting. Committee appointments were reviewed by Chairman Tim Eller. Secretary report reminded members of the importance of designating at least one club affiliation when renewing NFAA membership. Club contacts need to update information with e- mail addresses and/or phone numbers to NFAA to receive information, and clubs and shops need to continue to send club renewals to State secretary. A proposal was discussed to change State Field Championship to the 1 st weekend in June and State Outdoor Target to a date in September. The State Target will be held at Sauk Valley in Dixon on September 7 & 8, 2019. A motion was made and passed to amend the Aug. 4th vote not to change the State Field from 28 field/28 hunter. Panther Creek in Chatham will hold the State Field on Aug. 24-25, 2019 with an option of having a 28 field/14 hunter/14 animal. Bids were accepted for the Indoor 2020 aggregates with the Northern zone at Sauk Valley, Central zone at Wenois Archers, and Southern zone at Buckskin Legacy. The next meeting date will be Sunday after the state NASP tournament in the spring. Awards were presented and a motion was made to adjourn by Kathy Pindell, 2 nd by Judy McCutcheon-Adams.
