Vice President Kasey Moore: There is going to be a separate meeting for the ICC float on October 3 rd. Treasurer Carolyn Barnett: Nothing to report. Secretary Kevin Frias: Nothing to report. Region IX Joshua Loper: Kasey made a good point on Meet the Candidate night regarding that it is open to the public. Also this event is going to be broadcasted so people can watch at home. There are also conferences for Region IX representatives in which open resolutions are passed for colleges, so if anyone has ideas please let me know. There was also a discussion to allow ASG to have a higher registration priority, which got approved. Student Trustee Wayne Brown: Great basketball game. Our boys beat Fort Irwin. The season is going to start at the end of fall, but in spring there will be no games. Senators:

- Ladale Rogers: Nothing to report. - Erika Gomez: I am proud of the turnout. The picnic was great and it was nice to see PTK selling ice cream. Continue to show up to events and have pride in your college. Also get Grad Guru, since this app allows opportunities to earn gift cards. The TAG is due this Friday for those who are seeking to transfer. The follow up application is in November. Also I noticed that there are a bunch of fliers for events going on, some that I didn t even know about. - Arthur Ramirez: I wanted to mention the TAG registration, but Erika has already mentioned it. - Rajanae Stone: 4 people are interested in becoming a Senator, so if anyone is interested please email. - Ricardo Cuevas: If anyone has a veteran in their family or knows someone who is, tell them to join the Veterans Club, since we are looking for more members. Also we are working with PIA for several events. VIII. Committee Reports: [Committee Reports to be limited to 3 minutes] -Business and Finance Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Kevin Frias: I just had my first committee meeting today, which was regarding two goals of educating the college on financial risk management and conservation efforts. The college goal is to keep a 15% reserve of funds for any risk that may occur, so what was being discussed was the methodology of how to effectively educate the public and employees. There will be memos sent out and there will be a panel, once a year, to give people the opportunity to ask questions. The water conservation goal that was met earlier and the savings earned from it, has been spent due to an increase in water usage. This water usage stems from the baseball

field increasing their water by 100%, so all the money that was saved is now spent and now a plan needs to be made to reduce consumption. -Curriculum Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Arthur Ramirez: I have not attended a meeting, since the committee has not met. -EEO and Diversity Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Ladale Rogers: I did not attend the meeting. -Institutional Effectiveness Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Erika Gomez: I was not able to attend the meeting, since the email that was given to the committee was an email from a previous ASG member. So, by the time they got my email, the meeting had already occurred. -President s Shared Governance Council Student Assigned to Committee: Student Trustee: Wayne Brown: The meeting today was at 3:30. The meeting only went over policies and procedures. There were also first and second readings. ASG President: Aylin Moreno: ASG Member At-Large: Joshua Loper: -Professional Development and Recognition Committee - Student Assigned to Committee: Carolyn Barnett: I did attend the meeting, but I have nothing to report. -Safety Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Ricardo Cuevas: [Left Early; was unable to attend.] -Student Success & Equity Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Wayne Brown: This committee meets once every two weeks on Mondays. The committee meeting was regarding enrollment policies and ASG tier. There was also a new idea of putting holds on student accounts if they are missing orientation or their educational plans. However, I

mentioned that students did not know what holds are, so it may not be the best idea to add additional holds. We are also working on hitting our strategic goal of cultural diversity. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. -Technology Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Joshua Loper: I was unable to attend, since the committee meeting time conflicts with my chemistry class. -Calendar Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Kasey Moore: I have nothing to report, since the committee only meets once a year. -Commencement Committee Student Assigned to Committee: Rajanae Stone: The meeting date is next year. IX. Advisor Reports: [Advisor Reports to be limited to 3 minutes] Vice President of Student Services - Dr. Khushnur Dadabhoy: Nothing to report. Director of Student Life and Development - Joann Garcia: Good to see leaders wearing their ASG shirts. If anyone has any issues with their committees, please come talk to me. These are shared governance, so we have to have a student attend these committees in order for the students to communicate. The student in the committees represent the students say and voice. We are doing great except two individuals have issues, which I will be emailing. Remember to put your timecards in your boxes; the weight must be spread evenly, so I want these timecards in the boxes on Thursday. The four hours of office hours and committees are part of the commitment and also chairing two events, which is leading the events. The record of activities and participation is kept, so these will affect recommendation letters for spring.

X. Club Reports: [Club Reports to be limited to 5 minutes] Alpha Gamma Sigma: We are focused on the club meeting. There will be a conference at Piers college, which we will use to get ideas. BCC Scholars: Absent Black Student Union: There will be a meeting tomorrow, which will be here, in the game room. Callboard: So this Friday is Disney Karaoke Night, which will have free food for everyone. There will also be a backdrop for people to take pictures, it will be a castle in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. On Wednesday, there will be a pie eating contest; the grand prize is either going to be a gift card, or two tickets to our production. The pie eating contest is for the first 20 people that sign up. CTE/Cosmetology: [Had to leave early for class] CRU: Nothing to report. International Student Union: We are a new club. I am the Vice President, but my native language is not English, but it is hard for us to say that we have nothing to report. Native American: We were supposed to have a meeting today, but it was canceled so it will be next week at 12 in B-18. Pacific Islanders Association: I wanted to thank everyone for working with ICC and PTK. Ran some numbers to teach people about the culture. Also on the calendar we will be selling Hawaiian plates on the same day as the pie eating contest. We will be hosting two major events. So, we will be teaching dances for the banquet on December. The goal is to show people the dances and to have

many different foods for the banquet. In spring there will be a May Day, which is the second event, and we plan it to be big. Phi Theta Kappa: [Left early due to class] Veterans: We have elected new officers and are working with other clubs. XI. Adjournment: 5:54 XII. Next Meeting Date: October 5, 2016.
