November s Notes (Continued from page 1) Time, commitment, and energy talk to me or Board Chairman Orvis Kline about getting involved. Also our Newsletter editor is stepping down from that position and we need someone who can cut and paste to keep the presses running. If you can do that, or if you have a teen that can do that, or an office manager that can do that, or a spouse than can do that, or a pet that can do that PLEASE let me know. Thank you Mike for the fantastic job you have done on the Newsletter for the past 7 years! Now I just want to mention that I had to renew my son s auto insurance. He is in college and drives a 16 year old Honda Accord. For the past 4 years the rates kept creeping up. My broker who has my business policies and my personal insurance just sent me another renewal with another price increase. I decided to shop price! Much to my surprise the new policy with the same coverage was $500 cheaper. My homeowner s policy was $1000 cheaper and with the multiple policy discount I saved another $100. What I'm trying to say is, in business and life you can't just be complacent. Lastly, please humor me, I want to reflect on things to be thankful for: My health... my family... my professional relationships... GPLA... the right to vote... the freedom of speech... the country we live in... those who protect us... the ability to make a good living... What are you thankful for??? HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
