2 Program Marge Pacchetti, Director, Unit Game Coordinator Marc Renson, Director, Tournament Coordinator and over with every committee meeting. Loren Charlton, Fran Gaura, Marge Pacchetti, Lorelei Greenfield and I spent countless meetings fine tuning it until everyone was satisfied. The Board approved, so now it goes to you, dear members to vote on the latest revision at our December (Holiday) Unit Meeting, game, and party.. Big news: Raad Bunni is hosting his first game at the San Mateo Bridge Center s new home, Fattoria e Mare, on Friday, November 3. Excitement is high for playing at the new venue. Good luck Raad! Jennifer Kuhn reports that she is planning for the next session of EasyBridge at her Peninsula Duplicate Club. It is truly a fabulous program to bring complete beginners up to speed so they can play right away and then mainstream into conventional lessons. The last two sessions of our Unit s Mentor Program will be played on November 16 and January 18 at the Bayshore Bridge Center. Joanne Lewin deserves all the credit for putting together a long list of partnerships. This is an invaluable experience for the mentees. Mentors, you must realize that you are the future because by passing your enthusiasm and knowledge to a less experienced player you are keeping our favorite pastime alive and well. If you don t have a partner yet, contact Joanne, and she may be able to dial you in. The more the merrier! November 18, we will play our first Unit game at Fattoria e Mare. The restaurant is serving lunch at 11:00 and Raad Bunni will direct the game, starting at 12:15 sharp! Be sure to respond to your invitation and reserve your seat ASAP, or contact Marge Pacchetti, our event coordinator, for help finding a partner. It s beginning to feel a lot like Thanksgiving, so it s not to soon to save the date for the best ever Unit 498 Holiday Party and Unit Game: Saturday,
