1 District 2-E2 Election A list of candidates who have filed for positions in the 2018 District election is attached. Candidates letters for all positions must be received by the District Governor and the Elections Committee Chairman by March 28, Additional candidates may be selected from the floor at the convention meeting, April 28, 2018, 8:30 AM. The List of Certified Clubs with Eligible Member Counts and Balances as of March 1, 2018 is attached. Delegate counts are based on the number of members in each club as of March 1, 2017 minus any drops of those Lions. Members joining after March 1, 2017, are not counted for delegate purposes until they have been members a year and a day. A delegate form was ed to club presidents and secretaries. Due to limited time set aside at the convention for certification, delegates and alternates names MUST be submitted by , prior to the convention by the club president or secretary. 5 District 2-E2 Convention Call The annual District Convention of District 2-E2 of the State of Texas shall be held April 27-28, 2018, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Fort Worth Alliance, 2600 Westport Parkway, Fort Worth, Texas. All chartered Clubs in District 2-E2 in good standing with International, State, and District Dues paid to date are hereby notified that they are entitled to one (1) voting delegate and one (1) alternate for each ten (10) members, who have been enrolled for at least one year and a day in said club, or major fraction thereof, as shown by the records of Lions International on the first day of the month last preceding the month during which the convention is held. The major fraction referred to shall be five (5) or more members. Only registered delegates with certified credentials, present in person at any meeting of the convention, shall be entitled to vote. Each such delegate may cast one (1) vote only for each office to be filled by, and one (1) vote only on each question submitted to the respective convention. Unless otherwise specified herein, the affirmative vote of a majority of the delegates voting on any question shall be the act of the convention. Delinquent dues may be paid and good standing acquired at any time prior to the close of credential certification, as such closing time shall be established by the rules of the respective convention.
