2 ORDINANCE NO. 479 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 458, BEING THE SALARY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LE ROY ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1992, WHERAS, the Mayer and City Council of the City of Le Roy, Illinois, an Illinois Municipal Corporation, have determined that it is in the best interests of the citizens of said City that the administration of said City be run in as smooth a manner as possible, and by the people most competent and capable of being elected, appointed, or employed to or in the said City government, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED,by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Le Roy, Illinois, in lawful meeting assembled as follows: Section 1. That the salary for the City Clerk of the City of Le Roy, Illinois, is hereby increased from Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($16,500.00) per year to Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($18,500.00) per year, the salary for Mayor is Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00) per year, the salary for Treasurer is hereby decreased from Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,250.00) per year to One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) per year and the salary for Alderman is hereby Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per meeting attended including two paid absences per year. Section 2. Said increases and decreases in salary shall become effective May 1, 1993, and shall be effective only as to said officer upon being newly elected or re-elected to said office. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as required by law. I further certify that on January 19, 1993, the Corporate Authorities of such municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. 479, entitled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 458 BEING THE SALARY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LE ROY ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1992 which provided by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form. The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. 479, including the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted at the municipal building, commencing on January 1$, 1993, and continuing for at least ten days thereafter.
