1 OGDENSBURG BOROUGH BOARD OF EDUCATION Minutes: July 12, 2016 Meeting The Regular Session of the Ogdensburg Board of Education is called to order at 6:35 p.m. in the Library of the Ogdensburg School, 100 Main Street, Ogdensburg, New Jersey, OPEN PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE: Read by Ms. Fitzgibbons: "This is to advise the general public and to instruct that it be recorded in the Minutes that in compliance with Chapter 231 of the Public Laws of 1975, entitled the Open Public Meetings Act, Ogdensburg Board of Education, caused notice of this meeting to be posted at the Office of Ogdensburg Board of Education, mailed to the newspapers circulated in the district and to the Municipal Clerk of the Borough of Ogdensburg, and be posted at the Ogdensburg Elementary School and the school website, setting forth the time, date, and location of this meeting." Ms. Fitzgibbons took a moment to publically thank Carol for being such a valuable member of the Ogdensburg community.

WHEREAS, the Governor, in consultation with the State Treasurer and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-3 (b), on July 1, 2015 increased the bid threshold amount for school districts whose purchasing agents do not possess a qualified purchasing agent (QPA) certificate, from $26,000 to $29,000, WHEREAS, the Ogdensburg Board of Education would like to take advantage of the maximum statutory bid threshold amount of $29,000 for school districts who do not have a qualified purchasing agent; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-3(a) and N.J.A.C. 5:34-5.4, establishes and sets the bid threshold amount of $29,000 for the board of education, and further authorizes Richard Rennie to award contracts, in full accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-3 (a), for those purchases that do not exceed in the aggregate the newly established bid threshold amount. F/F 73 RESOLVED, that the Ogdensburg Board of Education, approves transfer of $21,645 from capital reserve to debt service for the 2016/2017 school year. F/F 74 F/F 75 RESOLVED, that the Ogdensburg Board of Education graciously accepts the donation of $4,568, donated by the Ogdensburg PTO, to help pay for a new Marquee for the school. RESOLVED, that the Ogdensburg Board of Education graciously accepts the donation of $500, donated by Ms. Patricia Dolan, for 2015/2016 Graduation Awards.
