1 BOROUGH OF HI-NELLA REGULAR MEETING JUNE 16, 2015 CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hi-Nella was held in the Municipal Building 100 Wykagyl Road, Hi-Nella, New Jersey on the above date at 7:00 PM. Mayor Dobbs called the meeting to order with a salute to the flag. The Municipal Clerk stated that this meeting was advertised and notices posted as per the Sunshine Law. ROLL CALL Meredith Dobbs Mayor-Present Brian Cunningham Councilman Absent Ann Fischer Councilwoman Absent John Schaeffer Councilman Present Michael Segeren Councilman- Present Ritt Uber Councilman-Present Robert Messick-Solicitor - Absent Phyllis Twisler Municipal Clerk-Present APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES The minutes of the meeting held on June 2, 2015 were approved by motion made by Councilman Schaeffer and seconded by Councilman Segeren with all ayes on the vote. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE #2015:04 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #4-67 REGULATING THE PRESENCE OF MINORS ON PUBLIC STREETS AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES BETWEEN CERTAIN HOURS AT NIGHT WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF HI-NELLA SECTION 1 AND SECTION 3 BE IT ORDAINED by Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hi-Nella. County of Camden, State of New Jersey that the Ordinance #4-67 is amended as follows: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of seventeen years to be upon the streets, alleys, roads, parks, gazebo or other public places, or any place of amusement or recreation after the hour of 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning, unless accompanied by the parent or guardian or other adult person having the care, custody or control of said child. SECTION 3. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Councilman Cunningham - Absent Councilwoman Fischer Absent Councilman Schaeffer Nothing to report Councilman Segeren reported that Chief Fittipaldi attended a press conference explaining a new DNA with infrared technology from plants that will be used throughout New Jersey s police departments. The kit can be bought for a fee of $70.00 to the residents. A representative will be at the July 4 th celebration. RESOLUTION #78:15 RESOLUTION TO NOTIFY RICHARD TETER 17 PAWNEE ROAD OF DEMOLITION OF UNSAFE PROPERTY Motion made by Councilman Schaeffer and seconded by Councilman Segeren with all ayes on the vote. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC RESOLUTION #79:15 PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS Motion to pay bills was made by Councilman Schaeffer and seconded by Councilman Uber with all ayes on the vote.
