1 Trenton, New Jersey, July 1, 2006 The announced that adequate public notice has been provided to the public specifying the time and place for this meeting in accordance with Chapter 231, P.L. 1975, approved on October 21, 1975 and effective January 19, The agenda for the said meeting was mailed, posted and filed on June 29, The Inauguration of the Mayor and Members of City Council and the Organizational Meeting of the City Council of the City of Trenton, 1950, Chapter 210, as amended by R.S. 40:69A-1, et seq., and R.S. 19:1-1, et seq., was held at 12:00 noon at the City Hall Plaza, City Hall, Trenton, New Jersey. The meeting was called to order by the Clerk, and, on roll call, the following answered present: Messrs. Bethea, Coston, Ms. Lartigue, Messrs. Melone, Pintella, Segura, Ms. Staton -7. The declared a quorum present. The then introduced Reverend Jeffrey Lee, of the Parish Community of Our Lady of the Angels, who delivered the invocation. The then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. The presented Melda Grant, who sang The Star Spangled Banner. The following Certificate of Election was read by the : To: The City Council of the City of Trenton, New Jersey. TAKE NOTICE THAT a Municipal Election was held in the City of Trenton, in the County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, on the ninth day of May, in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Six; such election designated to elect a Mayor. TAKE NOTICE THAT, from the canvass of election returns received by the of the City of Trenton, New Jersey, resulting from each such election, such returns having been certified by the District Boards of Election from the 51 Election Districts of the City of Trenton and, in turn, from the Mercer County Board of Elections as to the Civilian and Military Absentee vote, and Provisional Ballots, on such date, all pursuant to and in compliance with R.S. 40:69A-1, et seq., and R.S. 19:1-1 et seq. I,, of the City of Trenton, New Jersey, do hereby certify that the following candidate received the required majority in the Municipal Election held on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 and has been elected to the following office: MAYOR Douglas H.
