1 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT Subject: COUNCIL MOTION PUBLIC HEARING PROCESS AMENDMENT TO MOTION On June 27, 2016 lor Hughes provided notice in accordance with Section 23 of Procedure Bylaw 35/2009 that she intended to bring forward the following motion: In order for to debate the motion, the motion must be formally moved. (lor Hughes) That the recommended public hearing process is amended to move the closure of the public hearing to between first and second reading, and that unanimous consent is required to close the public hearing on the same night as first reading. An amended Alternative Proposal and a revised (per lor Heron notice of Motion) and amended Option 1 which would meet the intent of the motion have been provided as attachments. Attachments: 1.
