4 CENTRAL ASIA S COUNTER-TERRORISM EFFORTS Country visits, The Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) conducts assessment visits, on the Committee s behalf, to all countries of Central Asia: Uzbekistan (2009 and 2015); Kyrgyzstan (2012 and 2016); Kazakhstan (2016); Tajikistan (2017); and Turkmenistan (2017) yielding a wealth of information on the counterterrorism capacities and technical assistance needs of the individual States and the region
5 TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CTED also facilitates the delivery of technical assistance to Central Asia through its implementing partners, including the relevant UN entities, INTERPOL, the European Union, the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Eurasian Group on Combating Money-Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism (EAG), the Regional Anti- Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO), the Anti-Terrorism Centre of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS-ATC), and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)
