2 The Geographical position of India brings it dynamic kinds of Relations with East Asian Countries, when Major Powers conduct International relations and Trade. India and East Asian countries have shared close culture and economic ties and special relationship for long time. India has mainly tried to address its legitimate economic and security interest while extending all help and assistance for stability and development in East Asian region. At the same time, it is the geographical location of these countries which makes it extremely important as far as the Socio-Economics and Security of the major countries in Asia is concerned. India East Asia relations have been shaped by long standing geographical, historical, cultural, social and economic ties that the people of the region shared with each other. In short span of time from 1990 to 2015, the number of capital flow, technological development, and blue economy has been the crucial forces in bilateral and strategic partnerships amongst the countries. India s policy from Look East to Act East has been one of the dynamic precepts of pragmatism and pursuit of National interest. Forward looking and optimally responsive to the various challenges and opportunities vis-à-vis China, Japan and other countries under the global circumstances, policy harped on the expansion of trade and investments relations with East Asian countries sustaining the positive spirit of bilateral ties, in maintaining the process of dialogue for resolving outstanding differences and building a long term, constructive and cooperative relation in the region.

3 Rationale for organising the International conference:- India, a country of peace and tranquillity has witnessed a number of threats at different occasions during the last 6 decades. The countries in East Asia has been unfolding strategic partnerships and bilateral engagements undoubtedly lead to radical changes. The changed nature of Trade and commerce will undergo changes leading to new tactical conceptions and organisational changes. What is the aspect of India s engagement in the region? Will competition between India China create another Flash point in the region? Can India Japan relations reach to Strategic partnerships? But the very purpose of relations has never changed any more than the freedom of economic engagement to which the state considers to be important for the achievement of the foreign policy. The new ideas and notions are to be discussed and disseminated into the society by raising the agenda for Engagement. There is a strong need to discuss in the conference on various aspects of Engagement and Relations of the countries in East Asia.
