1 How CIAN Associate Minister Affiliation Works: PURPOSE Christian International Apostolic Network (CIAN) offers a unique benefit for our Ordained Ministers. This benefit enables you to affiliate ministers indirectly with CIAN that you pastorally or apostolically oversee. These associate ministers would then become licensed/ordained ministers under your ministry. All Associate Ministers will relate and be accountable to you as the CIAN Ordained Minister (Associate Overseer) rather than the leadership of CIAN. Their ministerial functions, guidelines and credentials are established and documented by your authority and in accordance with the laws of the state in which they reside, not CI Apostolic Network. Civil acts, such as marriages, are regulated by the state. Each state has its own rules regarding what a minister must do to legally perform a marriage. Two links to review marriage ceremony officiating requirements by each state are: PROCESS The process for Associate Ordination or Associate Licensure will require the endorsement of a CIAN Ordained Minister and the approval of their pastoral oversight. Upon approval of affiliation, CIAN will provide associate minister ID cards and a certificate of affiliation. These cards and certificates indicate the Associate Ministers are members of CIAN. They do not, however, indicate that the Associates are ordained or licensed by CIAN since you must have already provided the documentation of their ministerial status and guidelines. These associate ministers will not be displayed on CIAN s online directory. TERMINATION Termination will be at the discretion of the Ordained Minister and/or CIAN Leadership. Affiliation and benefits are provided based on the Associate Minister s continued relationship with you as a CIAN Ordained Minister and their consistency in financial donations to CIAN appropriate to their level of affiliation. CIAN will periodically review Associate files and notify the Overseer of any delinquency in giving. It is the Overseer s responsibility to contact the minister(s) regarding their financial accountability and their continued desire to be affiliated with CIAN. Associate Ministers will not be permitted to bypass the oversight and authority of the CIAN Ordained Minister to relate directly to CIAN leadership. Blessings, Apostle Gale Sheehan Director, CIAN

2 Dear Applicant, APOSTOLIC NETWORK CIMN, PO Box 9000, Santa Rosa Beach, FL x652 Fax: CI Apostolic Network (CIAN) has implemented a Pastoral/Apostolic level of relationship for those desiring CIAN Network affiliation with the oversight of a CIAN Ordained Minister. This level is known as the Associate Minister Level. The Associate Minister s legal authority is regulated by the CIAN Ordaining Minister and state laws and not CIAN. Please complete and submit the enclosed enrollment form, along with a $25 application fee, to the CIAN Ordained Minister who presented this to you. This minister will review your application and submit it to CIAN Leadership for final approval. Once fully approved, a welcome packet, which includes, your certificate and ID Cards, will be presented to you by the CIAN Ordained Minister (Associate Overseer). The Associate Minister level of relationship is renewable annually unless terminated by you, your Overseer or the CIAN Leadership. There are two levels of affiliation within the Associate Minister Level, Associate Ordained and Associate Licensed. 4 CIAN ASSOCIATE COVENANT AGREEMENT This is a covenant agreement between me, as an applicant with CIAN, and Christian International Apostolic Network, and the CIAN Oversight Team of Bishop Bill Hamon and Apostle Gale Sheehan. I understand that by submitting this application, I am making a covenant agreement to uphold the following as my part of the agreement: 1. To embrace and represent the vision of Bishop Bill Hamon and the role of the Apostolic and Prophetic in the church today. 2. To fully support the CIAN Oversight Team that I am submitted to. 3. To commit to the continued financial support of CIAN as follows: Associate Licensure: $25.00 or more / month Associate Ordination: $50.00 or more / month 4. 5 IMPORTANT CIAN MINISTERS MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY SO THAT WE RECORD YOUR DONATIONS ACCURATELY. 1. Please make checks payable to CIAN and include your account number in the memo section. If possible, include your printed receipt stub with your donation. 2. The exact name on a check is the person, church, ministry or business that will receive tax receipt credit for IRS purposes. If personal tithes are paid on a church or ministry check, we must receipt the church or ministry, not the individual. 3. If another person or ministry desires to pay tithe for you, a money order may be used. The money order should show your information and account number for you to be credited. 4. If you choose to pay annually, please pay in January so that we do not show a deficit in the monthly giving throughout the year. 5. Quarterly payments should be paid at the beginning of each quarter in January, April, July and October. 6. Only donations marked CIAN will count towards your CIAN giving requirements. CIAN tithes should be paid prior to sending payments for pledges, Covenant Partners, or any other special giving. 7. To assure timely recording, tithes should be mailed around the 15 th of the month, as we send monthly receipts for tithes received and posted prior to the end of the month. 8. To establish an automatic monthly deduction by debit or credit card, please call one of our Ministry Services Representatives at or You can also pay by phone by calling our Ministry Services Representatives. 9. If you change the name of your church, ministry or business but continue to use old checks, you must line through the old name and write in the new one to receive tax credit under the new name. 10.
