5 Strategy VISION A world in which every child grows up free from violence and exploitation MISSION The Partnership aims to make societies safer for children, protect childhood, and end violence against children everywhere. 6 Goals 1 Build Political Will The Partnership will build and sustain political will to end violence against children, promoting evidence-based strategies that will lead to significant, sustained and measurable reductions in violence. 1.1 All countries commit to action to end violence and exploitation of all children. 1.2 Violence against children and the actions needed to prevent them is part of national, regional and global discourse. 1.3 All countries see an increase in finances put towards ending violence and exploitation in all settings. 6 - Goals

7 Goals 2 Accelerate Action The Partnership will work with partners to accelerate action to tackle the violence that children face, with a focus on pathfinder countries who wish to lead the movement to end violence. 2.1 All countries adopt national legislation to protect children from violence and exploitation, including online violence. 2.2 Children in pathfinder countries can access integrated services. 2.3 Children affected by violence, including those in conflict settings, can access child centred services and programmes. 7 - Goals

8 Goals 3 Strengthen Collaboration The Partnership will strengthen collaboration among and between countries, and with civil society and other stakeholders, confronting shared threats and developing shared solutions. 3.1 Create platforms for sustained transnational action and learning. 3.2 Serve as the global forum for learning, standard setting, and mutual accountability. 3.3 Generate and disseminate knowledge and evidence. 8 - Goals

9 Goal 2 Accelerated Action Country-Level Engagement The strategy envisages that a group of pathfinder countries will make a central contribution to the partnership, based on their wish to be leaders in ending violence against children and delivering SDG16.2 and related targets. 10 Goal 2 Accelerated Action Country-Level Engagement The Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children will support governments that have demonstrated a strong commitment to accelerating efforts to make children safe and are focused on solutions. We term these countries Pathfinders. Pathfinders within the Partnership will receive technical support to execute a whole-of-government approach to violence prevention. This will involve development of a road map for implementation of the package of evidence-based solutions, and a national commitment to increased financing. A number of countries have already initiated steps toward being Pathfinders. These countries will commit to confront the many factors that leave children vulnerable to violence, and will help to build a global network of champions needed to make our societies safer for children. By pioneering new approaches to delivering on SDG16.2 and other violence related targets, countries will form alliances with all sectors of society to prevent violence against children Country-Level Engagement

13 Partnership and fund governance The Partnership is based on clear principles of engagement and a commitment to providing a voice for stakeholders from all sectors Governance will be as lean as possible, especially at first Global structures will evolve as the Partnership grows and changes, we will also take time to get national structures right Currently, the Partnership has an Interim Advisory Committee and a Secretariat It is expected that the permanent board will meet for the first time in June 13 - Partnership and Fund Governance
