2 Preface: Pacific School of Engineering (PSE) Surat, (Approved by AICTE, affiliated to GTU), managed by flagship of the visionary Pacific Education Trust, Udaipur, Rajasthan, which is the largest philanthropic organization offering Degree engineering courses in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical & Computer Science Engineering; Diploma courses in Civil, Electrical and MechanicalEngineering. Under the banner of Innovation Council, Faculty Development Programmes were organized. The session on Fearless Life & Personality Development was arranged on 14 th October 2016 conducted by famous speaker Shree Sanjay Raval. It was coordinated by Prof. Miral Thakker (Assistant Professor, Chemical Engineering Department). The sessions on topics Professional Ethics & Work- Life Balance was conducted by renowned personality Shree J J Vyas on 15 th October 2016, at Osho Hall, Tithal Beach which was coordinated by Prof. Sonal Pavagadhi (Training & Placement Officer & Asst. Prof in Electrical Engineering Department). A seminar on Cyber Crimes : The Dark Side of The Internet World for girl students and female faculty by Mrs. Gunvanti Maru (Chair Person of WDC ) with her team on 18th October Event Details: Fearless Life & Personality Development Today we are living in the era which is full of challenges and opportunities that leads towards a stress full life. In such a situation to live free is really a tough task. The speaker covered the following points and very nicely explains how to live free while discharging the daily duties. - Accept what others are having. - Improve yourself day by day. - Four rules for a stressful life: Religion, to earn money, love, and moksha. The session was totally mind boggling, where the speaker linked the audience with the day to day life experiences and explained how one can change the life by changing the attitude towards a particular situation. 2 Report: FDP & WDP October 2016 Pacific School of Engineering, Sanki-Surat.

3 The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Miral Thakker, where she extended her gratitude to the Principal, college management for supporting her to organize the event. She also thanked Shree. Sanjay Raval for accepting the invitation and sparing his time to reenergize and rejuvenate all. All the faculty members appreciate the efforts of her for the initiative to arrange this kind of faculty development program. Professional Ethics & Work- Life Balance The first session was started on professional ethics by Mr J.J. Vyas, gave an introduction of ethics by explaining the meaning, objectives, need for, purposes, areas of ethics related to profession. Second session was on work life balance which was delivered on how to maintain the complete harmony and balance in person s two world of life-personal and professional. They also suggested the various social issues which are worthy of professional ethics and work life balance. They presented examples, which helped the staff to have a better understanding. 4 The one day workshop came to an end with questioning and feedback. Faculty members gave the feedback. They expressed the full satisfaction of the participants over the sessions and thanked the management and principal for giving permission to such a useful and practical workshop. Our Honourable principals Dr. Y. C. Rotliwala (Degree) & Prof. Rakesh Motiyani(Diploma) presented a memento to the speaker. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Sonal Pavagadhi. The function was falicited by break fast, lunch, and came to an end with high tea. Cyber Crimes : The Dark Side of The Internet World A renowned trainer Mr. Chintan Pathak (Associate member of Bar Council of Gujarat,Advocate Association of Surat)was invited to deliver the session. The seminar was organized specially for the female faculty members & girls students, as just few weeks back they entered in the new system and trying to adjust themselves in the journey of becoming an engineer. The programme was arranged with the purpose of providing knowledge and aware about Cyber Crimes. The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Miral Thakkar thanked Mr. Chintan Pathak to accept the invitation and spare his valuable time for the students and requested to be associated with the institute in future as well.
