2 As a Resource Person 1. August 2004, Baseline Survey Consultant with the UNDP, Sudan , participating in a workshop entitled: Peaceful Coexistence among the Tribes of Southern Darfur State. Southern Darfur State authorities in partnership with UNICEF organized the workshop. I presented a paper on Traditional Communal Practices Preventing and Managing Conflicts. 3. September 29, 2001, training field staff on rural development and project evaluation. Trainees were staff of El-Obeid Area Development Scheme, a joint venture between UNDP and Sudan Ministry of Finance. 4. November , participation in training North African Scholars in research in political science. The Department of Political Science, Cairo University and the African Association of Political Science (AAPS) sponsored the program. I participated by giving lectures. Participants were junior staff from North African Arab universities September 2001, participation in a workshop organized by Fredrich Ebert (Bonn, Berlin). Theme was Crisis Management, presenting a paper on Sudan experience with inter-communal conflicts resolution , Resource Person for (OSSREA), teaching Research Methods Course to Yemeni participants (Sanaa, April) , National consultant for IGAD and Leeds University on Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution (CPMR) January May. 8. February-May 2000, conducting a field research and writing up a report under the title: Impact Assessment of ADSEO. The Ministry of Finance (Sudan) and UNDP demanded the Study , carrying out a field research and writing up a report about the status of Gum Arabic production on the sandy belt of western Sudan (Dar Fur and Kordofan). Sudan Gum Arabic Company demanded the Study. 10. December-March 1999, team leader for field data collection and report writing on the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) of Bahr el-ghazal region. The Study was demanded by UNICEF, Sudan. 11. November 1998-February 1999, leading the team for field data collection and writing up a report about the Rezaigat-Zaghawa Conflict of The study was demanded by the Center for the Strategic Initiatives of Women (CSIW) in partnership with Ahfad University for Women , 10, 1998, attending a workshop for constitutional amendments for Kebkabiya Small Farmers Association. The workshop was held in Kebkabiya town of northern Darfur State. Consultancy included enlightening farmers on how to become selfreliant after external support (Oxfam) phases out.
