1 International Public Executive Programme In Copenhagen and Washington DC - for public executives and politically oriented professionals
2 THE DANISH WELFARE MODEL TAKE PART OF THIS 11TH RUN OF THE INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME TAKING PLACE IN WASHINGTON DC
3 THE ROAD TO 21ST CENTURY GOVERNANCE In 2018 we celebrate the 11th anniversary of this sought-after programme. More than 185 senior public managers and politically orientated professionals have so far benefitted from participation in IPEP, which this year will visit its third presidential administration for insights into and perspectives on the 21st century governance. In turbulent times there is a risk that the conditions for good governance are at stake. How to deliver when the political reforms are radical? How to engage in relations when distrust is brewing, and how to create knowledge regimes when alternative facts are sneaking in and perhaps even endorsed? Thus, the agenda for public executives is more exciting than ever. The ability to navigate within the dichotomies; politicians versus the administration, central versus local, elite versus the people are tangible dilemmas, and what happens in the US will have direct implications for the rest of the world, including Denmark. While world history is being created we will meet renowned researchers, public officials, politicians and analysts giving their assessments of the developments, the conflicts and the consequences of US and global politics and economic development. The emphasis of this year s programme is on how the politics of the future will change the conditions for public managers in Western countries. Take part in this journey from the front seat and join us in discussing the future that awaits us all. KEY BENEFITS Be wiser on the key challenges in political and administrative leadership, also in a Danish context Strengthen your public policy outlook Improve your personal impact through management by network(ing) Revisit your own organisational strategy in view of the 21st century trends in society and public policy and learn how to effectively implement changes Become familiar with key world economic trends, relevant to public administration, by senior World Bank personnel Get updated on US politics on the spot Be inspired by renowned US experts Strengthen your network relations with other senior executives from the public sector JOIN US IN WASHINGTON DC AND MEET: Senior advisers who have worked closely with US presidents in the White House Former members of the US Congress Professors from renowned US universities and schools of public policy Think tank CEOs and economists
