Why Are We Here?
You ve watched what has happened over the years and grown concerned and angry.
You ve Been to the Rallies.
You ve been to the Candidate Nights.
You ve Attended Meetings
What Now? What is it All For?
To Get You Ready For
ACTION!
2010 Project Vote: Organizing to Take Back AMERICA!
In 2008 McCain lost only 13,000 votes from what Bush had in But Obama gained 115,000 over Kerry s 2004 totals.
The Democrats got more people energized for their candidate, and got them to the polls!
There were 16,360 more Republican voters in 2008 than in But there were 119,938 MORE VOTERS OVERALL.
Where did the 103,578 votes go?

Democrats discovered that the secret to political success is get your base excited, and get them to vote!
It doesn t start at the national, state or county level, but at the smallest political, geographic district
The Precinct!
The Democrats did this using a plan called Organizing for America in 2006, 2008.
We have to Organize to Take Back America!

As a local, community group, it s the only thing we can impact: our community.
You ve heard President Obama describe himself as a Community Organizer
It s what we have to do to Take Back America
The purpose of this plan is to build a political structure OUTSIDE of the political parties.
And it starts Tonight!
We need ACTION!
We ve all Talked the Talk
It s time to Walk the Walk
We need volunteers to: -Walk the precincts - Make phone calls to your neighbors, - Drive people to the polls on Election Day - Watch Polling Places - Talk to your neighbors
Group One: Precinct Captains
Who Wants to Work in:
Group Two Phone Calls
Group Three: Drivers
Group Four: Talk to your Neighbors
Group Five: Watch the Polling Places
Walk the Precincts: Making F.R.E.N.D.s
F ind them R egister them E ducate them N etwork with them D rive them to the polls
Find Them It won t be hard Recent polls show 76% of Americans are unhappy with the direction of the country, and consider themselves moderate to conservative.
So you have a 70 to 80% chance of speaking to a likeminded person when you knock on the door.
We ll use walking lists downloadable from the Board of Elections website.
They identify Republicans, Democrats, and Independents (NP). Concentrate on the Republicans and the NPs.
Register Them to Vote if Need Be. We ll give you voter Registration Forms and show you how to fill them out.
Educate them on Constitutional Principles and you will Energize them to Action
Don t debate them. You must not be for or against a candidate or issue. Stay neutral!
Build a relationship by discussing with them the common, non-partisan principles of the Tea Party
I don t want to get into politics! Me Either! This is not politics, this is civic responsibility. We re a non-partisan citizens movement. We embrace people of all parties!
I m so busy. Aren t we all! But look where doing nothing has gotten us.
Modeling Exercises: How do we do that?
Network with them. Do they know of anyone who wants to help? Do they want to help?
Drive them to the polls: Use the WIFM Principle
W hat s In It F or M e
Explain to them how not voting will affect them: Continued bad Economy and loss of jobs Expensive Heathcare Increased Taxes Loss of personal FREEDOM!
Get them to commit to voting, and offer to get them a ride if necessary.
Our Passion and enthusiasm will beat the Democratic Machine professionals who treat this like a job
This method has the most enduring effect: 33% will continue to go to the polls.
We can t be bought or sold, and they can t control us. Because of that, they are afraid of us.
The Democrat AND Republican parties are spending millions to work against us and discredit us.
They are hiring people to do what we re doing. We can t win by fighting their fight.
We have to fight and win using our historic, traditional system, which the two parties have moved away from.
We have to build on the Tea Party Success so far!
The night before the D-Day invasion in 1944, General Dwight D. Eisenhower sent a message to all his troops.
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you.
The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year [2010]! Much has happened since the [Obama] triumphs of [ ]. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory!
I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!
Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.
