3 Registration for the Conference -Member States and all members of specialized agencies that have observer status with the General Assembly are encouraged to pre-register at -On-site registration and badge collection at Marrakech Conference will begin on 5 December 9.30am through 11 December 1pm. Please collect your delegation s badges as soon as possible to avoid delays on 10 December. -For details, refer to the Note Verbale posted at 3

4 Registration list of speakers for Plenary Sessions Requests from Members States and members of specialized agencies that have observer status should be sent through the e-speakers portal ( Time permitting, the following can make a statement in the general debate and indicate their interest by contacting Secretariat c/o Ms. Mary Muturi (muturi@un.org): (a) intergovernmental organizations and other entities with GA observer status (b) associate members of regional commissions (c) specialized agencies and related organizations (d) other intergovernmental organizations (rule 63); and (e) interested United Nations organs Registration for speaking slots closed yesterday for Non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, the private sector, diaspora communities and migrant organizations and national human rights institutions 4

5 Registration list of speakers for Dialogue Sessions (10-11 Dec) As per A/CONF.231/4, each Dialogue will accomodate up to 60 States and 15 other participants to speak Speakers list; please indicate the order of preference of the dialogues in which your delegation wants to speak Provide name, title and level of participation to Deadline 26 November 2018 First-come, first-served basis, geographical distribution and level of representation 5

6 Dialogue Sessions Two separate interactive Dialogues on 10 and 11 December respectively Open for Member States and multi-stakeholders Include co-chairs, keynote speakers and panelists Purpose of the Dialogues is to exemplify ways and means to support the implementation of the Global Compact Shall be interactive and multi-stakeholder in nature Interventions should not exceed three minutes 6

7 Dialogues (Concept Notes) The Office of the SRSG for International Migration has put together two concept notes, one for each Dialogue Drawn from the agreed text of the GCM Purpose to help frame the Dialogue discussions Inspire and support participants in their preparations for the two Dialogues Propose a number of questions that could be addressed by participants Distributed via Note Verbale, GCMigration and posted on the Conference website

8 Travel Support through the Multi-Partner Trust Fund Government and stakeholders from developing countries can apply for travel support through a note verbale from their Permanent Representative in New York to GCmigration@un.org One government representative per country will be supported (exception for Head of State/Government 1+1) 8

Welcome Reception hosted by Morocco and UN Network on Migration Event (9 December evening at Blue Zone) -Heads of Delegation are invited (1+1) 2. 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (10 December, 6pm-7.30pm, Dialogue Room) -All with GCM passes are invited 9
