1 Name: Chapter 16 Section 1 Notes: The Eisenhower Era The Election of 1952 In 1952, Harry Truman chose not to run for reelection believing as president was enough. The prevented any person from serving more than 2½ terms (10 years) as president. Truman was excluded from the and could have run again. The and wanted Dwight D.
