One of the most important tools of change management is self knowledge and self change. When I turned a 360 degree review at the Bank, with input from managers, reports, and colleagues, gave me a near perfect score on "tells senior management what it is doing wrong". However, people in position use and abuse said positions and do what they do best as use the one asset they have: "Power". A powerful possy of people in position of governing and business do what they want, when they want and walk away with $ or more power. Hence we have just moved from 1% of people are v v v rich and own 48% of the world wealth. The owners are getting greedier than before. It is the way things go. So, as much as I really like Karen Hudes, one voice is not sufficient, you need a possy or an assault by many to get things going. We need to change so many common laws and banking laws and remove these modern pirates from these seats of power where they are really well connected. IS this likely to happen...what says you...i think not...sadly One of my special knowledge is "change and change management". The legs or pillars that hold "change and Ch Mngt" are: Communication, power and negotiation all under the famous concept of CULTURE. I do believe that "culture", the ruling element in all different societies, plays a huge part in it. 3

4 Culture is the element that drives "a" society to act in unison. Yet, let us beware of one element in that a culture would be against financial rape yet might be feeble as recognising its consequences. We need to ask WHY or WHY NOT Could it be said that it is a symptom of a society experiencing stress, that it is somehow "out of balance", too many changes at one time, too many new rules not well understood and too many manipulations of all of theses by concerned parties. To give a common example:..say a social injustice that effects more than was expected. Best latest example of "culture" was offered by India. Women got just tired of being hurt, raped, touched and as a result of women backlash, all of a sudden there is more policing and legislation for women protection but the catalyst is not the recognition of the rape but the punishment on the perpetrators. Recognised as "Indecent", "named by the papers" of having done this So the shame is the big stick here.. WHY NOW WHY NOT BEFORE...WHY. The "male dominated culture" has had to change due to actual action by women who are actually the other 50% of the society and is making its presence felt = CHANGE Culture is the centre of all, through it, ideas and actions are activated, modified or terminated. Amazingly enough most men never did look at the consequences to their society and to themselves! Due to a mental shaming, men are changing so as not to be stained by such a blemish. We males are very good at "abusing via an act of power" and not pleasure, but for power. We punch or threaten violence or act like imbeciles = seen as power I think that the term power is the common thread to the act anywhere. In "change and change management", POWER is the middle element between communication and negotiation. And we can observe how we "Deploy Power". Examples of "Deployment of power" Positive Power Negative Power - Personal Power - Legitimised Power - Expertise Power - Referent Power - Office Power - Coalition Power All of the above give direction and speed of action on deploying any power. 4

5 We are ruled in many ways by Negative power and all societies form at one stage coalition to be in power and for themselves, not for the benefits of their charges.= downfall ultimately. Financial rapping is just that, and as the laws and acts and the people who have been put in position of power use and abuse this very unique position, it will take a revolution a la revolution francaise of 1789 before...any changes so J P Morgan who has its retired directors in all sorts of position of power everywhere, is the black widow of power. check it out and be amazed. This sadly enough will need a lot of blood before these so very abusive monetary psychopaths are stopped. they will not surrender easily, they will need to be culled The only way to stop this is strong repercussions as to the act. Also we are quite certain that all sorts of tools were introduced in the group. Due to reading so many articles and watching with keen interest so many youtube material, one gets to make up one's mind as to general status from so many angles regarding well organised actions by individuals and corporations. There is nothing wrong headed and defeatist from my part, I only rely on facts as given by yourself and others regarding banking and the culture at the time. And it seems that matters have gone even worse with little or less accountability today. If this is not the case my friends and I will have read the info with different filters then. We get that Luxembourg, Austria and Ireland and large banking institutions as BNP and its friends seeming to be rogue states or organisations when looking at "money transfers" and "tax haven" practices. The same can be said for large corporations from 1st world countries, constantly flaunting rules and regulations and little france or other friends as belgium continue to tap dance to get any support or anything from other EU members. Nobody wants to dip its toes in the cold water. Could it be that too many ex or retired J P Morgan directors are leading the dance as usual. I had the great fortune to work in a varied group of companies with so many personalities. 5

6 In my position, I demanded higher audit standard and introduced the tools for achieving this and was merciless at all levels. I also introduced risk governance and trained all my staff regarding change and change management and offered total support. Cross my staff, you cross me. That last statement is a long story on its own. This fostered annoyance and antagonism from many of the rulers. I did not give a damn, this was not a concern to me. The group and I won with the application of real standards and risks. Power corrupts and more power corrupts more...
