2 2 Government Gazette 2 April 2002 No.2717 Government Notices MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS No AMENDMENT OF EXPLOSIVES REGULATIONS, 1972: EXPLOSIVES ACT, 1956 The Minister of Home Affairs has under section 30(1) of the Explosives Act, 1956 (Act No. 26 of 1956) made the regulations set out in the Schedule. SCHEDULE 1. In these regulations "the Regulations" means the Explosives Regulations promulgated by Government Notice No. Rl604 of8 September 1972, as amended by Government Notices Nos. R 2371 of 13 December 1973, R 155 of 4 February 1977, R 2153 of 21 October 1977, R 2135 of21 September 1979, R 2292 of 19 October 1979 and AG 49 of25 July Regulation 1.1 of the Regulations is amended by the substitution for the definition "local authority" of the following definition: "local authority area" means the area declared under section 3 of the Local Authorities Act, 1992 (Act No. 23 of 1992) to be a municipality, town or village, as the case may be, or deemed to be so declared;". 3. Regulation of the Regulations is amended by the insertion after the definition "primer cartridge" of the following definition: "public display" means a show of exploding fireworks conducted for the public or a section of the public;". 4. The Regulations are amended by the substitution for regulation of the following regulation: " It shall be unlawful for any person to use or explode fireworks in any place in a local authority area, except for the purpose of a public display operated in accordance with regulations , , and ". 5. Regulation of the Regulations is amended by the substitution for the amount "R300" of the amount "N$600". MINISTRY OF REGIONAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND HOUSING No AMENDMENT OF GOVERNMENT NOTICE NO. 227 OF 15 NOVEMBER 2001 In terms of section 13 of the Townships and Division of Land Ordinance, 1963 (Ordinance No. 11 of 1963), I amend Government Notice No. 227 of 15 November 2001 by the substitution for the words 'to include Farm Marine No. 449 situated in the Registration Division" T" ' of the words 'to include the remainder of Farm Marine No. 449 situated in the Registration Division "R" '. MINISTRY OF FINANCE No THE VALUE-ADDED TAX ACT, 2000: REVISION OF THE AMOUNTS QUOTED IN TARIFF HEADINGS AND OF PARAGRAPH 2 OF SCHEDULE II In terms of paragraph 3 of Schedule II to the Value-Added Tax Act, 2000 (Act No. 10 of 2000) I hereby, in paragraph 2, increase the amount specified - (a) in tariffheading from "N$ " to "N$ "; and (b) in tariff heading from "N$ " to "N$ ". Coverage Area: INTV PRODUCTIONS (PTY) LTD WINDHOEK, KEETMANSHOOP, WALVIS BAY, SWAKOPMUND, OSHAKATI, GROOTFONTEIN, RUNDU / - Section 17( 4)(b) of the said Act provides that "any person may within fourteen days of publication of a notice of sub-section 17(4)(a), lodge with the Commission written representations opposing the issue of a broadcasting license, and such representations shall be taken into account when the Commission considers the application".
