1 ELY SHOSHONE TRIBAL RULES OF THE COURT BAIL SCHEDULE 1. To be admitted to practice before the Ely Shoshone Tribal Court a person must be a Licensed Attorney in good standing with the State of Nevada, a Licensed Attorney in any other state of the United States, or an Indian lay advocate who is an enrolled member of the Ely Shoshone Tribe or of one of The United States Federally Recognized Indian Tribes. 2. Once verified as one of the above you will be asked to pay a $ application fee and a $ per year renewal fee to be licensed to practice before the Court. 3. You will then receive the following package: A. Copy of the Tribal Law and Order Codes. B. Copy of the correct Court Caption. C. Current copy of the Tribal Constitution. D. Breakdown on filing and court fees. E. A copy of the current Indian Child Welfare Act and the Ely Shoshone Children s Codes is available for $10 if it is applicable to your case. F. An application for admission to the Ely Shoshone Tribal Court Bar. G. A Court Oath. H. If your application is approved you will receive an Order of Admission to the Ely Shoshone Tribal Court Bar. If denied you will have the right to move the court for reconsideration. Once you have reviewed the Law and Order Code, completed the admission application and Court Oath, they must be signed and submitted to the Tribal Court. 4. the following rules must be followed when filing any paperwork with this court: A. 2 B. All papers submitted via any mail system will not be folded in any way. C. No facsimile filings will be accepted. Only followed by a hard copy by mail so that the cover sheet may be the file stamped and returned. ed filings will be treated as filed on the date they are received by the clerk, so long as the hard copies are received within 10 days. D. All filings must be paid at the time of the filing by cash, money order, or check. E. Fees may be waived by the Tribal Court Judge. 5. No telephonic appearance will be heard by this Court unless approved by the Tribal Court Judge.
