2 What do I need to apply for my Russian Business Visa? 1. Valid national passport with at least two clear pages. Passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of your departure from Russia. 2. Completed visa application form. 3. One recent color passport-sized photo taken against white background and printed on standard photographic paper with your name written on the reverse side. 4. Official invitation from an organization authorized to invite business visitors to Russia. The Invitation to Russia must be from the Russian Foreign Ministry or its regional representatives; The Ministry of Interior or its local offices; or other authorized Russian Agencies. The letter must contain: official seal and legal address of the agency, signature and name of official authorized to invite foreigners to Russia. The Embassy reserves the right to request the original invitation. * 5. For UK and US passports holders only: we need 2 signed application forms* with 2 photos. (* the typed version of the application form). 6. Proof of residency (letter from employer/college,or copy of Irish driving license). 7. A copy of your travel/health insurance certificate showing: name of policy, policy number and expiry date. It must be valid in Russia for the whole period of the journey. ** * Visa First can organise business invitations for you. Once Visa First receives your completed application form and support documents we will then you with a typed version of your application form as verified by the Russian Embassy.All you need to do is print out the form from the , sign it and post it back to us. As soon as we receive your signed application form in the post we will be able to submit your application to the Russian Consulate. **Visa First can organise travel insurance for you. To process your travel insurance we will need a copy of your passport AND your travel dates. NOTE: The embassy no longer accepts applications completed by hand, only applications completed online are accepted. How long will it take to get the visa? The Standard processing time is 10 working days, after the receipt of your application. How much time I have to active the visa since the date of issue? The visa must be activated within six (6) months from the date of issue. According to Russian law, all Russian Visas should be registered within 7 working days, upon arrival to the Russian Federation (excluding weekends and official holidays). No registration required if the visit is for only two to three days. If you are staying at a hotel: the hotel will register the visa. You will be asked to show your visa and passport. A small registration fee can be imposed. If you are not staying at a hotel: you will have to register the visa at the Passport and Visa Department of the local Police Precinct. If your final destination is not Moscow or St. Petersburg and you are not staying at a hotel: you will need to register the visa with a local UVIR (Russian Department of Visas and Registration).
