The villages we saw in this trip was very devasted in up high hills, the roads were uncomfortable, very few rescue and relief team reached to the village due to remoteness. Many people near this villages are also seeking for help and food, we can feel that by seeing their face, resource that we can carry are limited, hope to help such faces soon. Story About a Lady(05/05/2015): A lady who was above 80, came to CDRA office. She lost her house and nowhere to go. She have no money, no tents, no relatives nothing. Its just a prototype so we have reduced its size by 0.60 percent.the volunteer from Bodhicharya Pariyatti Kendra (Local social organization) and CDRA nepal helps througly in construction work. Many people around us wanted to know what is going to build, never seen such building before were cleared by us showing the design and concept of idea to the people. 5 Newspaper Coverage regarding Quake: Ministries to priorities rehab, rebuilding (The Kathmandu Post 5th May) With huge resources required for rehabilitation and reconstruction works in the aftermath of the Great Earthquake, the Ministry of Finance plans to ask ministries to review their programmes which they have already planned for the next fiscal year. Finance Ministry officials said that since a huge amount of money needs to be diverted for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, the ministries would be asked to remove from priority programmes and projects that are not essential to be implemented immediately. The government has announced the National Reconstruction Fund of Rs200 billion and has already allocated Rs20 billion to it. Additional resources are expected to be contributed by donors. 500 foreign rescuers return (The Kathmandu Post 5th May) Over 500 foreign rescue workers, who landed here to conduct search and rescue operations in the wake of the devastating earthquake on April 25, have left for their respective countries. On Sunday, the government had asked them to wrap up their mission and leave the country, leaving any unfinished tasks with the domestic rescue teams. Victims complain inadequate aid(the Kathmandu Post 5th May) NUWAKOT, MAY 05 - Serving as an example of utter negligence of the government, earthquake victims in Rajodhar settlement are left high and dry in the absence of relief. Ten days past the disaster, people in the settlement resided mostly by the Magar community are remained virtually out of sight. Neither the government nor the private sector has reached the locality and the victims have been forced to live on boiled water. Relief concentrated on areas with road access(the Kathmandu Post 5th May) CHITWAN: The collection and distribution of relief has turned into fashion with each group competing with others. However, the number of such groups taking relief to affected areas in remote parts of the district or outside is next to none. Moreover, even government agencies have failed to distribute relief in the areas. Over 39,000 hurt received treatment: Government(The Kathmandu Post 5th May) About 39,000 injured and sickened by the great earthquake have received treatment so far, the Ministry of Health and Population said in a statement. The ministry has mobilized 85 international medical teams and over 100 national teams for the treatment of the quake-affected people by setting up field hospitals in different places. 4
