15 Through collaborative efforts, research and in-depth studies and according to the values and mission of the esteemed organization, the logo has been designed. It is based on the unity of the GCC and inspired by the common bond of the sea. A source of prosperity and livelihood for the region, the sea and the sea faring vessel of the dhow forms the central idea in the design theme. Symbolically, the logo represents the flow of statistics from GCC to the world. The logo design is inspired by the dhow. The traditional dhow takes pride of place in the cultural context of the region. It heralded progress, ensured prosperity and helped communities thrive. The structure of the dhow formed by various planks coming together to form one, symbolises the six nations coming together to form one forward thinking organization.
16 Like how the dhow steers ahead, always moving forward, in the very same way GCC STAT helps navigate the way forward with the help of statistical data that enables decision makers and organizations explore new research and reach new conclusions. It symbolically serves in navigating a way forward. A metaphorical symbol for GCC- STAT of the flow of statistics from the GCC to the rest of the world
