1 In Grades K 5 Current Douglas County Attendance Policy will be sent with the The Student/Parent will be referred to Law Enforcement and the School Social Worker. Law Enforcement will investigate the student s parent(s)/guardian(s) and others in the substantiated or open DFACS case, and prior involvement with the truancy panel or truancy interim order. If evidence is found on any of the above list, law enforcement will issue a citation to the parent(s)/guardian(s) requiring their appearance in court. After ten unexcused absences (age 14 and older): The School will submit a Certificate of Non-Compliance to the Director of Safety. The Director of Safety will notify the Department of Motor Vehicle Safety (DMVS) of the non-compliance to deny or revoke the student s Driver s Permit/License.
