2 Extending the JODI platform to cover gas

3 Calls for the extension of JODI to gas date back to Ministers called for the extension of JODI to other fuels at the IEF10 in Doha, Qatar 2008 Ministers called for the extension of JODI to natural gas at the IEF11, and at the Extraordinary Energy Ministerial Meetings of Jeddah and London 2009 Calls for JODI Gas at the G8 Summit in L Aquila and at the G20 Summit in Pittsburgh; JODI- Gas exercise launched JODI-Gas supported at the G20 Summit in Cannes JODI-Gas Strong support supported by for JODI-Gas Ministers at the shown by IEF12 in Mexico Ministers at the IEF13 in Kuwait; in October, JODI- Gas became a permanent reporting initiative 2013 Public launch of JODI-Gas scheduled during the second half of the year 2014 The IEF and JODI Partners will receive on-going feedback, and will make adjustments and improvements to the platform as necessary

OPEC Economic Board approved that OPEC countries to start collecting JODI- Gas monthly data and participate in JODI-Gas. JODI-Gas became a permanent initiative. IEA Governing Board approved to institutionalise JODI- Gas monthly data as a requirement by IEA countries. IEA Impact of the Governing Board. More countries from UNSD and OLADE. This raised the number of countries participating in JODI-Gas to 66 countries representing 70% of global natural gas supply and 80% of global natural gas demand. Launched Beta version of the JODI- Gas Data base Bahrain started submitting JODI-Gas data raising countries participating in JODI-Gas to 67. Held workshop with 22 OLADE countries. Qatar and Kuwait started submitting JODI-Gas data raising number of countries participating in JODI-Gas to 69, representing 80% of Global natural gas supply and demand.
