1 Lincoln Police Department Monthly Report June Pekin St. Lincoln, IL P: F: lincolnil.gov/police Contents PG 2: News Including accomplishments, events, and awards. Burglary & Theft During the past 6 months the Lincoln Police have investigated 178 property crimes involving burglary, theft, and criminal damage. Of the burglaries we have had 15 residential burglaries. The police need your help! First of which is to secure your property as property crimes are normally crimes of opportunity. Don t leave valuables out in the open where they can be seen and taken. Secure your home when not there. Breaking in causes noise and causes people to notice. Adopt a dog as they will cause a burglar to think twice before entering. Purchase a home security system. Visible indication of an alarm system will cause a burglar to pick another home. Think about installing video cameras as they help provide a witness that we may not otherwise have. PG 3-7: Monthly Stats UCR, Arrests, Tickets, and Fines. PG 8-9: Division Reports Patrol, Investigations, DARE, Lincoln K9 and School Resource Get Notified! Sign-up to community notifications by texting to or visit lincolnil.gov for more information. Please report any suspicious behavior in your neighborhood. If you hear something, please check it out. Report anything suspicious to the police using 911. Working with your police officers to report and deter crime is the best solution to this problem! Information leading to an arrest can also result in a cash reward through CrimeStoppers LINCOLN POLICE DEPARTMENT 1
