2 GENERAL OBJECTIVES To promote young people s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular To develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people To foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries To contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil society organisations in the youth field To promote European cooperation in the youth field. PRIORITIES European citizenship active participation of young people respect for cultural diversity Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES A distinction is made between Programme Countries and Partner Countries. Participants and promoters from Programme Countries can participate in all Actions of the Youth in Action Programme. Participants and promoters from Neighbouring Partner Countries can participate in Action 2 and sub- Action 3.1 of the Youth in Action Programme. Participants and promoters from Other Partner Countries of the World can participate in Action 2 and sub-action 3.2 of the Youth in Action Programme. 4 Ecuador Namibia Vietnam El Salvador Nauru Yemen Equatorial Guinea Nepal Zambia Eritrea Nicaragua Zimbabwe Niger ACTIONS Action 1 - Youth for Europe Action 2 - European Voluntary Service Action 3 - Youth in the World Action 4 - Youth Support Systems Action 5 - Support for European cooperation in the youth field SUB-ACTION The purpose of this sub-action is to develop mutual understanding between peoples in a spirit of openness, while also contributing to the development of quality systems that support the activities of young people in the countries concerned. A Training and Networking project can be of two types: Youth Exchanges with Neighbouring Partner Countries. To bring together groups of young people from two or more countries, providing them with an opportunity to discuss and confront various themes, while learning about each other s countries and cultures. Training and Networking with Neighbouring Partner Countries. To cover the training of the active in youth work and youth organisations, and exchanges of experience, expertise and good practices between them. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES planning and preparation implementation of the Activity evaluation (including reflection on a possible follow-up) ELIGIBLE PROMOTERS Each promoter must be: a no profit/no governmental organization; a local, regional public body; an informal group of young people a body active at European level in the youth field. NUMBER OF PROMOTERS Bilateral Youth Exchange: one promoter from an EU country and one promoter from a Neighbouring Partner Country

5 Trilateral Youth Exchange: three promoters from different countries, of which at least one is from an EU country and one is from a Neighbouring Partner Country Multilateral Youth Exchange: at least four promoters from different countries, of which at least one is from an EU country and two are from Neighbouring Partner Countries ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS Participants aged between 13 and 25 and legally resident in a Programme Country or in a Neighbouring Partner Country (a small number may be aged between 25 and 30) NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS The project must involve a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 60 participants (group leader(s) not included). DURATION OF THE PROJECT Maximum 15 months DURATION OF ACTIVITY 6-21 days, excluding travel days. This period includes the preparation and the final evaluation (including a reflection on a possible follow-up) of the project. Activity dates: these are the dates during which the main Activity takes place. This period excludes the preparation and final phases of the project.

6 PROJECT PROPOSAL INTRODUCTION This project will promote an European cooperation between youth s group comes from Italy and other countries (in preference Romania, Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Republic of Macedonia, Croatia, Morocco) to connect them with different socio-cultural realities in order to improve tolerance and respect for cultural diversity. The group will aim topics like meeting, interchange and confrontation to share their feelings and emotions about things, people and events. In this way, it will discover affiliation to a group and will find diversity to develop right behaviors and the respect for the others. OBJECTIVES Objectives of the proposal are to: Create a youth s interchange in the solid action to favorize a communication about best practices, experiences, opinions and values Favorize integration through a cross-cultural dialogue Improve the mutual comprehension between eligible countries Galvanize the youths into a positive behavior beside the cultural diversity and the active citizenship Promote the educational and social values Favorize communication and cooperation to exchange youth ideas, experiences, best practices and informations Galvanize the youth into the attention to the society and solidarity ACTIVITIES Project planning and preparing Meeting with potential partners to explore and/or prepare the different locations and activities Formation of a local group with the sustain of the tutors Training of the local staff involved in the project Define the topics and the activities to aim and develop Develop activities with energies, brainstorming, buzz groups, individual work, role playing and problem solving techniques In Italy (in province of Foggia): get up a sort of cross-cultural dialogue celebration that shows experiences and activities developed during the project Evaluation DIRECT BENEFICIARIES This project will involve youths come from Italy and other Countries (in preference Romania, Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Republic of Macedonia, Croatia, Morocco) aged between 13 and 25 years. The group will be wait on socio-educational and youth groups leaders. It will be also involved the families of the youth participants, trainers and local staff. The promoter, therefore, will acquire a positive impact through dissemination of good practices and results arising from the project as well as the spread of education that promotes acceptance of diversity, interethnic dialogue and exchange.
