Muslim Ban Executive Order Enforcement Executive Orders Sanctuary City Executive Order Supporting the RAISE Act Ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designations Rescinding DACA Ongoing threats to reduce refugee resettlement

All current DACA permits are valid until their expiration date No new applications will be accepted as of September 5, 2017 Recipients may renew their DACA permit for a final 2-year period if their current permit expires before March 5, 2018 All renewals must be received by USCIS by October 5, 2017

TPS is granted to individuals residing in the United States who are unable to return to their home country for reasons that include: temporary extraordinary conditions, armed conflicts and environmental disasters. Individuals with TPS are able to access a work permit and are protected from deportation, but the status does not provide a pathway to citizenship. Currently 322,000 individuals with TPS designation. Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea (terminated as of May 2017) Haiti South Sudan Sudan (terminated as of November 2018) Honduras Nicaragua El Salvador Syria Nepal Yemen Somalia

Eliminate most current family immigration categories U.S. citizens would no longer be able to sponsor their adult children, their parents, and their brothers and sisters to immigrate Eliminate Employment-Based Immigration Categories. Replace the current system for employer-based legal visas with a point-based system for all non-family based immigrants. Eliminate the diversity visa program Limit refugee admissions to 50,000 per year

Provides a clear pathway to legal status for undocumented immigrant No, or minimal, barriers based on income level, education, or criminal background Cannot be tied to increased enforcement, detention, or funding for a border wall Protects and promotes family unification Address visa backlogs and quotas Prevents the exploitation of immigrant workers and includes comprehensive protections for all immigrant workers through better enforcement of labor laws Ensures fundamental due process and civil rights of immigrants

Fulfills promise made to all DACA eligible young people Bi-partisan support BUT Still a limited fix we must address the ongoing need for a pathway to legal status for all undocumented immigrants, fix visa backlogs, and end quotas, etc. Cannot be tied to increased enforcement, militarization of border, or increased funding for detention
