13 Highlights for January 2016 Timothy Baugh 09/24/1966 has reappeared after a stint in jail. Baugh is infamous for defrauding elderly with lawn service or other chores. Property Crimes Investigators are working it. There was a shooting at the Chevron at Bridgeport following a confrontation between Travasnazell Evans and Carlos Everybodytalksabout. Evans was arrested. Assaults in general were significantly down compared to January 2015 (-9.46%). Burglaries were up to 53 (from 45 in January 2015) but down from December Auto thefts continue to be a problem with 29, up from 15 in January The October 13 th Changeover in CAD continues to cause issues with CAD queries and analysts are having a hard time determining self-initiated calls from dispatched calls. We are presently working with programmers at SS911 for a workaround. Lakewood apartments begin the year with Lakeview South Apartments (10214 Lakeview Avenue) with 5 Serious Calls For Service, Village Court Apartments (10210 Kline St) and Lakewood Estates ( th St) with 4 each. Not a great start. Lakewood Bars begin the new year with only two Serious Calls For Service (Denny s on 100 th and Cheers on Bridgeport). The Lakewood Motels start out the new year with only two Serious Calls For Service (Candlewood Suites and LaCasa both normally quiet motels). The Candlewood Suites SCFS was a stabbing that occurred at Macau Casino but the victim staggard all the way to Candlewood. Total traffic stops are down and analysis is currently under way to determine a cause, but we do know there have been staffing issues in our traffic unit that contributed to the reduction.
