18 Support for UK students Before students leave the UK IAESTE UK will support students with application queries and organise a pre-departure briefing for all outgoing trainees. While students are away Students will have the support of IAESTE in that country and in most cases a Local Committee of volunteers who look after them and arrange social trips for everyone. When students return Join a Local Committee and/or the Alumni Association and continue the fun!
19 Student Feedback First experience in mining as a field of work. Made valuable contacts and provided degree related work experience which is unusual and notable on a cv. I thoroughly enjoyed a unique opportunity to experience Norway in an unusual location and the work experience was of high quality and valuable. Geography and Earth Science student from Aberystwyth University
20 Employer Feedback The trainee helped to complete a project we would not have otherwise had time / resource to complete. It is expected that the obtained results will be published in an academic paper. IAESTE helps to exchange experience for students from different countries, improves their skills and creates opportunities for future collaborations. Durham University on hosting a trainee from Spain
