Models or data sets tracking how landscapes, wildlife, and fisheries are being affected by climate change would be killed. Landsat 9 received an increase in funding, however, cuts to satellite operations would also reduce support for a land observation satellite that may follow Landsat The only portion of the USGS budget which would see an increase in the FY18 President's budget request was facilities, which received a bump of 12%.
