WORKING FAMILY SUPPORT >*HB 2005: Pay Equity: Provides definitions relating to comparable work for purposes of pay equity provisions. (>SB 752) -In House Committee On Business and Labor, Public Hearing 2/22 >HB 2193: Fair Workweek: The Fair Workweek Bill grants employees Reporting Pay and the Right to Request. It also gives guidelines for some employers to provide a good faith estimate of hours, 14-day notice of the schedule, predictability pay and priority access to additional hours, among other provisions in order to allow employees to better plan their hours and income. -In House Committee On Business and Labor; Public Hearing 3/6 *HB 3087: Family Medical Leave Insurance Benefits: prescribing an effective date; providing for revenue raising that requires approval by a three-fifths majority. Small contributions by employers and employees are pooled, and when an employee has a qualifying reason for paid family or medical leave, such as a

9 serious health condition of their own or of a family member, or to care for a new child or aging relative, they may apply for wage replacement from the state program. 7. 10 HB 2355: Public Safety: Directs Oregon Criminal Justice Commission to develop method for recording data concerning officer-initiated pedestrian and traffic stops. -In House Committee On Judiciary; Public Hearing 3/6 **HB 2594: Law Enforcement Officers: Allows nonimmigrant authorized to enter United States under Compact of Free Association to be law enforcement officer. -Passed House Floor; In Senate Committee On Judiciary >HB 3078: Public Safety: Addresses Oregon's excessive sentences for addiction-driven drug and property crimes disproportionately impact women and people of color, and now Oregon is on the brink of spending millions to open a new women's prison. This bill realigns drugs and property crime sentencing to create savings that can be reinvested into local communities to provide accountability, addiction and mental health treatment, and victims services. -On Speaker s Desk Awaiting referral >HB 3176: Victim Protections: Authorizes the use of a pseudonym, initials or other signifier instead of the name of the witness or victim in an indictment of specific circumstances in order to protect victims from tampering or intimidation.
