1 East Clinton Local Board of Education Tuesday April 20, 2010 Regular Meeting 7:30 p.m. CALL TO ORDER: The East Clinton Local Board of Education was called to order at the East Clinton Board of Education, Lees Creek, Ohio, by Mark Garen, President at 7:44 pm. ROLL CALL: Saylor, present; Starkey, present; Brown, present; Compton, present; Garen, present. The Record of Proceedings of the Special Meeting, April 6, 2010, has been distributed by the treasurer and read. Saylor moved and Starkey seconded to approve the April 6, 2010, Special Board Meeting. Motion Carried. SAFE SCHOOLS: The superintendent recommends the East Clinton Local Board of Education approve the Renewal for Online School Safety Training for the school year at an expense of $1, (General fund). MELVIN ASPHALT PAVING CO: The superintendent recommends the East Clinton Local Board of Education hire Melvin Asphalt Paving Co to color coat and stripe the tennis court at the cost of $14, (PI fund). MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSITE FLUE PIPE REMOVAL: The superintendent recommends the East Clinton Local Board of Education hire Tackett Environmental Services, Inc., for the removal of Transite Flue Pipe in Upper level classroom in the Middle School at a cost of $6, (PI fund). PROM 2011: The Superintendent recommends to the East Clinton Board of Education that the Senior Prom be held at the Newport Aquarium, Newport, Kentucky. SOITA: The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Board of Education approve SOITA for the school year at a cost of $1,065.75(General fund). 5

6 SOUTHERN OHIO ESC 2011: The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Board of Education approve the annual fee for fiscal year 2011 in the amount of $235, (General Fund). ($97, Hopewell) ($138, SOESC) EAST CLINTON CHEERLEADING PROPOSAL FOR SEASON: The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Board of Education make the following changes to the Athletic Handbook regarding cheerleading (grades 9-12) for the school year. ROOF TOP COMPRESSOR: The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Board of Education replace the roof top compressor unit at the New Vienna Elementary School building at a cost of $8, including an extended warranty for 4 years (034 fund). MIDDLE SCHOOL ROOF: The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Board of Education approve the advertisement for bids for the partial re-roof of the Middle School building. OAA TUTORING: The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Board of Education add Jennifer Morrow as an OAA tutor for the Sabina Elementary building.
