Judicial Service to be filled in by promotion from amongst the eligible Judicial Officers during the year 2014 are notified as under:- 1. Additional District and Sessions Judges in the cadre of District Judges/Additional District Judges:- (a) Existing vacancies = nil. (b) Future vacancies that may arise within = nil. one year due to retirement (c ) Future vacancies that may arise within one = 02 Year due to elevation to High Court, or Otherwise, say 10 % of the number of posts (Modified by the Hon ble Supreme Court vide its order dated in Civil Appeal No.1867 of 2006 titled as Malik Mazhar Sultan and Anrs vs. U.P.Public Service Commission and Ors to the extent that in future the High Court shall notify the existing number of vacancies plus the anticipated vacancies for the next one year) 2. Civil Judges(Senior Division). (a) Existing vacancies = nil. (b) Future vacancies that may arise within = nil. one year due to retirement (c ) Future vacancies that may arise within one = 08 Year due to elevation to High Court, or Otherwise, say 10 % of the number of posts (Modified by the Hon ble Supreme Court vide its order dated in Civil Appeal No.1867 of 2006 titled as Malik Mazhar Sultan and Anrs vs. U.P. Public Service Commission and Ors to the extent that in future the High Court shall notify the existing number of vacancies plus the anticipated vacancies for

2 the next one year) The intending eligible judicial officers may visit the High Court Website for collecting relevant information with regard to eligibility criteria time schedule, all matter connected therewith including Rules and Regulations, and all the relevant terms and conditions connected with the Selection Process. Additional District and Sessions Judges in the cadre of District Judges / Additional District Judges: 65% by promotion from amongst the Civil Judges (Senior Division) on the basis of principle of merit-cum-seniority and passing suitability test: Sl.No Description Date 1. a) existing vacancies = Nil; 31 st March, 2014 b) future vacancies that = Nil may arise within one year due to retirement c) Future vacancies that may arise due to elevation to the High Court, or otherwise, say ten per cent of the number of posts. (modified by the Hon ble Supreme Court vide its order dated in Civil Appeal No.1867 of 2006 titled as Malik Mazhar Sultan and Anrs vs. U.P.Public Service Commission and Ors to the extent that in future the High Court shall notify the existing number of vacancies plus the anticipated vacancies for the next one year) = 2 2. Publication of list of eligible officers: 15 th May,2014 a) The list shall be put up on the website Zone of consideration shall be 1:3 of the number of vacancies. 3. Receipt of judgments from the eligible officers 4. Viva voce Criteria: 30 th May, th July to 31 st July, 2014 a) ACR for last five years; b) Evaluation of judgments furnished; and

4 c) Performance in the oral interview. 5. Declaration of final select list and communication to the appointing authority 31 st August, 2014 a) Result shall be put on the website and also published in the newspaper. b) Select list be published in order of merit and shall be double the number of vacancies notified. Issue of appointment letter by the competent authority for all existing vacant posts as on date. 30 th September, Last date for joining 31 st October, Civil Judges (Senior Division) on ad hoc basis: By promotion from amongst the cadre of Civil Judges (Junior Division) having minimum service of five years in the said cadre on the basis of merit-cum-seniority: Sl.No Description Date 1. a) existing vacancies = Nil 31 st March, 2014 b) future vacancies = Nil that may arise within one year due to retirement c) future vacancies that may arise due to elevation to the High Court, or otherwise, say 10 % of the number of posts(modified by the Hon ble Supreme Court vide its order dated in Civil Appeal No.1867 of 2006 titled as Malik Mazhar Sultan and Anrs vs. U.P.Public Service Commission and Ors to the extent that in future the High Court shall notify the existing number of vacancies plus
