Town of Pelham, October 20, 2011 Re: Joint and Several Liability Reform Recommendation: - THAT Communications A through F as listed on the November 8, 2011 Council Agenda be received. Recommendation: THAT the Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach be authorized to display portable signs on public property, in particular the southeast corner of St. Gregory's Road and Manning Road, as well as the gated entrance to the Optimist Green Acres Park on St. Gregory's Road, for the purpose of advertising their used book sale taking place November 12 & 13, 2011; AND THAT such authorization be granted for the period November 8 through November 13, 2011; AND FURTHER THAT the cost of a sign permit is waived. Recommendation: THAT the September 19, 2011 resolution of the Town of Pelham in support of AMO's efforts to seek joint and several liability reform in Ontario and calling upon the Province to pursue much needed changes to the Negligence Act be supported.
