2 OFFICIAL VISITOR ASST GENERAL GOVERNOR BYRON G DALTON Byron G. Dalton Sr. serves as Assistant General Governor for Moose International. He was appointed to this post on February 3, 2010, after having served as Assistant Director of the Membership Department since Prior to coming to Moose International, Byron had served as a system administrator for the Great Lakes Naval Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, IL. Byron joined Carpentersville, IL Lodge #1958 in 1991; he then transferred to Elgin, IL Lodge #799 in 1994, where he holds a Life Membership. He was active in the operation of his Lodge, and served as Governor, as well as Jr. Governor, Trustee and Prelate. Byron also holds a dual membership in St Charles, IL Lodge #1368. A member of Mecca Moose Legion 9, Byron served through the chairs, as well as the Financial Director, Fraternal Director, and Chaplain. Byron was conferred as Past President of Mecca 9 in August of Byron received the Illini Shining Star as Moose Legionnaire of the Year in He was conferred by Illinois Moose Association as Honorary Past State President in February A member of the Century Division of the Moose 25 Club, he received the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 2002 and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in Byron and his wife Terri reside in North Aurora, IL. This conference we will again embark to focus on more training sessions and breakout sessions, the addition of the Ohio State Moose Association All Ohio Moose Legion Celebration, a joint opening session and new videos from the Moose International, a Community Service Project and a change in the presentations for the parade of checks. We will have the opportunity to recognize our 5/25 Club Members with a party featuring a Mardi Gras evening on Friday night and our Funtastic Fundraising event on Saturday evening. Please use this weekend to further your knowledge of the Moose by attending the many training sessions being offered and enjoy the fellowship with your Moose brothers and sisters. Fregulia serves as Executive Director of Moose Charities Inc., having been appointed to this post on Aug. 1, Prior to this, she had served as Grand Chancellor of the Women of the Moose since September Jan has also served the Women of the Moose as Director of Sports and Ritual from and Director of Chapter Development from She also served as Director of Fraternal Fundraising for Moose Charities, Inc during A native of the Canadian province of Ontario, Jan immigrated to California with her family in 1955 as a young girl, and is a naturalized American citizen. Jan joined Petaluma, CA Chapter 574 in 1968 and earned all three distinguished degrees from the Women of the Moose: Academy of Friendship in 1970, College of Regents in 1974 and Star Recorder in Jan served as Deputy Grand Regent for California/Nevada from She also served on the Women of the Moose Grand Council from Prior to coming to Moose International, Jan worked in management positions in sales and purchasing in the building industry for more than 25 years. Jan resides in the Mooseheart, Illinois area. She has a son residing in Newport News, VA, and a daughter residing in DeKalb, IL; both grown children are Moose members. Jan is also the proud grandparent of one grandson. Hello Co-Workers! I want to welcome you to the Mid-Year Conference and Academy of Friendship Session for Our Official Visitor is Executive Director of Moose Charities, Jan Fregulia. Please give Jan a warm OHIO welcome when you see her. I know we will have an informative and fun filled conference, with Jan, as our Official Visitor. Congratulations goes out to the co-workers who will be receiving their Academy of Friendship Degree, on Sunday. What an exciting day this is for you. I hope you like the changes that have been made to the Conference. To be able to have a Joint Opening Session to working together on a Joint Heart of the Community project. It will be great to have you, the co-workers, ask questions and get the answers, see how membership and membership retention is going, and find out what is working in other chapters.
