2 CONSENT AGENDA It is recommended that the Napoleon Area City Board of Education: 1. approve the minutes of the regular Napoleon Area City Board of Education meeting of January 10, 2018 and the special board meeting of January 25, 2018 as presented. 2. approve the FMLA leave for Mrs. Christa Burken to begin December 12, 2017 and continue up to twelve weeks. 3. approve the intermittent FMLA leave for Mrs. Jodi Irving to begin March 1, 2018 and continue up to twelve weeks. 4. approve the employment of Mrs. Susan Nagel as a Bus driver for Napoleon Area City Schools effective January 26, 2018 after successfully completing her probation period. 5. approve the employment of Mr. Daniel Burmeister as a Bus driver for Napoleon Area City Schools effective January 27, 2018 after successfully completing his probation period. 6. approve the employment of Mrs. Jennifer Imthurn as Office Manager, Secretary to the Superintendent for Napoleon Area City Schools effective February 3, 2018 after successfully completing her probation period. 7. approve the employment of Ms. Antera Sedam, building custodian, effective February 19, 2018 for the Napoleon Area City School District. Ms. Sedam will begin at the probation rate for the 60 day probationary period. 8. accept the resignation of Mr. Shawn Thompson, Freshman Football Coach effective January 17, approve the following Athletic coaches for the school year: Varsity Sports Assistant: Baseball Matt Hardy, Cody Meinert (1/2), Todd Geahlen (1/2) Softball Bronson Ebaugh, Mike Lamming Track Kevin Milius (1/2), Adrienne Waisner (1/2) Freshman: Wrestling Austin Ripke (January agenda correction) 10. approve the following Athletic coaches for the school year: Varsity Sports Page 2 of 8

There are no new changes. 20. approve the kindergarten handbook for the school year with changes (listed on separate page) as presented. 21. approve the NWOESC contract for services as presented for the school year. 22. approve Helms Construction (Findlay, OH) as the successful bidder for the Napoleon Area City Schools transportation lot paving project. The bid amount was $276, Authorize the Superintendent and Treasurer to enter into a contract for successful completion of this project. 23. approve the bids from Presidio Networked Solutions Group, LLC (Toledo, OH) for the Wi- Fi and switch upgrades throughout the District, not to exceed a total cost of $282, This project will be funded 70% by Category 2 Federal e-rate funds, with the remaining amount coming from District funds. 24. accept the following donations: Napoleon Area Schools A donation of $ from Ms. Billie Manning to Napoleon Area Schools Special Needs Trust Fund. A donation of $ from Ms. Barbara Bockelman to Napoleon Area Schools to be used toward unpaid student lunch accounts. Napoleon Elementary School A donation of one book from Ms. Char Gray to the Napoleon Elementary School library. Napoleon Jr. /Sr. High School A donation of an original letter to General Gerard Christophe Michel Duroc the Duke of Frioul signed by Napoleon Bonaparte as Emperor of France, written from Paris on January 17, 1813, gifted to the Napoleon Jr. /Sr. High School by Page 4 of 8
5 Napoleon High School alumnus Richard P. Dickey, MD, PhD (Class of 1953) and member of the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame (Class of 2011), as authenticated by Lion Heart Autographs, Inc. of New York, NY. A donation of a 1,000 Point Scorer Board, valued at approximately $1, from Kurtz Ace Hardware and Borstelman Graphics to the Napoleon Jr. /Sr. High School. 25. approve the following resolution: RESOLUTION OF APPOINTMENT OF THE BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL OF THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER TO SERVE AS THE BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR THE NAPOLEON AREA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT As the Napoleon Area City School District Board of Education ( Board ) has entered into an agreement under R.C and/or R.C to receive any services from the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board ( ESC ), the Board is not required to appoint a business advisory council pursuant to R.C , R.C , and applicable laws as the Board and ESC hereby agree that the ESC s business advisory council shall represent the business of the Napoleon Area City School District consistent with the authority granted by the Ohio General Assembly. This agreement shall remain in full force and effect until either the Board or ESC terminates the same by formal resolution. 26. approve the financial reports as presented in Exhibits A-D. 27. approve the appropriations and modifications in Exhibit E.
