DECISIONS (1) Composition of the Committee on Credentials The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly appointed a Committee on Credentials consisting of delegates of the following 12 Member States: Bahrain, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, Costa Rica, Gabon, Greece, Iceland, Netherlands, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and Zimbabwe. (First plenary meeting, 4 May 1992) (2) Composition of the Committee on Nominations The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly elected a Committee on Nominations consisting of delegates of the following 25 Member States: Angola, Austria, Bahamas, Bolivia, Burundi, Chile, China, Cyprus, France, Honduras,Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal,New Zealand, Oman, Russian Federation, Samoa, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United Republic of Tanzania and Venezuela. (First plenary meeting, 4 May 1992) (3) Election of officers of the Forty-fifth World Health Assembly The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly, after considering the recommendations of the Committee on Nominations, elected the following officers: President: Mr A. 2 (4) Election of officers of the main committees The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly, after considering the recommendations of the Committee on Nominations, elected the following officers of the main committees: Committee A: Chairman, Dr Catherine L. (Fifth, twelfth and thirteenth plenary meetings, 6, 13 and 14 May 1992) (8) Report of the Director-General pn the work of WHO in The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly, after reviewing the Director-GeneraPs report on the work of the Organization in , 2 noted with satisfaction the manner in which the Organization's programme for that biennium had been implemented. The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly, after considering the recommendations of the General Committee, 3 elected the following as Members entitled to designate a person to serve on the Executive Board: Cameroon, Canada, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Portugal, Qatar, Swaziland, Syrian Arab Republic and United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. 4 (11) Annual report of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board for 1990 The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly noted the status of the operation of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund, as indicated in the annual report of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board, and as reported by the Director-General. 1 (12) Appointment of representatives to the WHO Staff Pension Committee The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly appointed the members of the Executive Board designated by the Government of Senegal and the Government of China as member and alternate member, respectively, of the WHO Staff Pension Committee, the appointments being for a period of one year, and the members of the Executive Board designated by the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Canada as member and alternate member, respectively, of the Committee, the appointments being for a period of three years. (13) Reports of the Executive Board on its eighty-eighth and eighty-ninth sessions The Forty-fifth World Health Assembly, after reviewing the Executive Board's reports on its eighty-eighth 2 and eighty-ninth 3 sessions, approved the reports; commended the Board on the work it had performed; and expressed its appreciation of the dedication with which the Board had carried out the tasks entrusted to it. It requested the President to convey the thanks of the Health Assembly in particular to those members of the Board who would be completing their terms of office immediately after the closure of the Assembly.
