1 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICT 133, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, HELD ON MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2015, IN THE BOARD ROOM AT THE ANNEX, 150 W 137 TH STREET, RIVERDALE, ILLINOIS AT 6:00 P.M. 1. Board President, Mr. Louis Peyton, called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. On roll call, Members Herron, Hill, S. Latham, Peyton, and Robinson answered. Members Butler and F. Latham did not answer. Superintendent, Dr. Carol Kunst, Principal, Mr. David Brown, and Interim Business Manager/CSBO, Mr. Kerry Dean were also present. Committee Reports: Buildings & Grounds Committee Committee Member, Mr. LaTroy Robinson stated that there was nothing to report at this time. Ethics Committee Committee Chairperson, Ms. Adrienne Herron stated that there was nothing to report at this time. Finance Committee Committee Chairperson, Mr. LaTroy Robinson stated that the Finance Committee met prior to the regular board meeting today and found everything to be in order. Mr. Robinson stated that the Board will be voting on the financial documents later in the meeting. Policy Committee Committee Chairperson, Ms. Alisia Hill stated that there was nothing to report at this time. 3. The special meeting minutes from the March 6, 2015, Finance Committee meeting was included in the packets for informational purposes only. 4. Mr. Robinson moved, Ms. Latham seconded, to approve the regular meeting minutes of March 9, 2015 as presented. School Board Business Minutes March 6, 2015 Minutes March 9, There were no correspondences addressed to the Board and no one in the audience that had comments. 6. There was no activity in the imprest fund for March Communications Imprest Fund [1]

Ms. Latham moved, Ms. Hill seconded, to approve the account payables dated through April 13, 2015: Account Payables Education Fund 10 $166, O&M Fund 20 23, Transportation Fund 40 14, IMRF Fund 50 3, Soc. Sec./Med. Fund 55 6, Construction Fund 60 10, Tort Immunity Fund Total Expenditures: $225, voted aye; nays; none; motion carried. 8. The payroll registers included in the board packets were used as reference for the approval of the March 2015 payrolls: Payroll 03/13/15 03/27/15 Total $102, $101, $204, The Student Activity Fund for March 2015 was received and filed subject to audit. 10. The Township Treasurer s Financial Statement and Cumulative Expenditures scheduled for February 2015, was received and filed subject to audit. 11. Board Reports: Student Activity Fund Treasurer s Report Board Reports Mr. Robinson congratulated Ms. Cynthia Whitehead for winning a seat on School District 133 Board of Education. Mr. Robinson gave a report on the NSBA Conference and workshops that he attended while there in March Principal s Report: Principal s Report Mr. Brown stated that there were 38 days until the end of the school 2014/2015 school year. 3 Mr. Brown shared information about the work that Ms. Paula Brown, Peer Assistant/ Peer Evaluator/ School Improvement Leader, is doing to assist with standardized testing and updating the District s Vision/Mission Statement. Mr. Brown discussed the upcoming PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) Assessment. Mr. Brown discussed the work of the Peer Committee as it relates to students growth and teacher evaluations. 13. Superintendent s Report: **The Superintendent s Report was included in the board packets. Dr. Kunst discussed a couple items from her report. Superintendent s Report Dr. Kunst reminded the Board that their Statements of Economic Interests must be completed online by May 1, Dr. Kunst stated that School Attorney, Mr. William Gleason, ed a notice of when the Board Organizational Meeting needed to take place. Based on that information, the Board meeting will be held either on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 or Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. The Board will be polled for an exact day. 14. There were no comments/questions from the Southwest Suburban Federation of Teachers Local Mr. Robinson moved, Ms. Herron seconded, to go in to executive session at 6:32 p.m., pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2, to consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, personnel discussion, discussion or dismissal of specific of the public body, discussion of probable or imminent litigation, and discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under the Open Meetings Act.
