5 Muskegon County Board of Commissioners September 27, Full Board Meeting 4:00 p.m ADOPT THE ATTACHED FY2017 COUNTY OF MUSKEGON APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE INCLUDING THE ATTACHED BUDGET AMENDMENTS (AS REVISED), FY2017 POSITION CHANGES, FY2017 EQUIPMENT ITEMS AND FY2017 CAPITAL PROJECTS, WHICH COLLECTIVELY REPRESENT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COUNTY OF MUSKEGON S FY2017 OPERATING BUDGET WM16/09-132d The Ways and Means Committee recommends, moved by Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Hughes, to adopt the attached FY2017 County of Muskegon Appropriation Ordinance including the attached Budget Amendments (as revised), FY2017 Position Changes, FY2017 Equipment Items and FY2017 Capital Projects, which collectively represent the implementation of the County of Muskegon s FY2017 Operating Budget. (Application attached) Chairman Sabo reminded everyone that October 8th will be the 21st Annual Pumpkin Fest in Downtown City of Montague. 9 Muskegon County Board of Commissioners September 27, Full Board Meeting 4:00 p.m AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITY OF THE MUSKEGON COUNTY JUVENILE TRANSITION CENTER FROM THE MUSKEGON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO THE FAMILY COURT EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 27, 2016 The Administrator recommends, moved by Commissioner Hughes, seconded by Commissioner Lohman, to authorize the transfer of the administrative authority of the Muskegon County Juvenile Transition Center from the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners to the Family Court effective September 27, Roll Call: Yes: Benjamin E. NELSON AT THE APPROPRIATE SUPERINTENDENT/ CLINICAL DIRECTOR RATE (NX330) WHILE PERFORMING THIS FUNCTION The Administrator recommends, moved by Vice Chair Cross, seconded by Commissioner Mahoney, to appoint the current Program Coordinator, Lindsay Nelson, as the Interim Superintendent/Clinical Director and serve as the Chief Administrator of the Muskegon County Juvenile Transition Center effective October 1, 2016 until the new Superintendent/Clinical Director can be appointed; and reimburse Ms. Nelson at the appropriate Superintendent/Clinical Director rate (NX330) while performing this function. Chairman Sabo asked about the timeframe to permanently fill the position. 10 Muskegon County Board of Commissioners September 27, Full Board Meeting 4:00 p.m. NEW BUSINESS Commissioner Nash announced that there will be a 4-H Club Awards Ceremony on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Career Tech Center. (See attached) Commissioner Nash also reminded everyone to register to vote since the last day to register to be able to vote in the November 8, 2016 General Election is Tuesday, October 11, (See attached flyer or go to to see how to get registered or if you are registered and where you go to vote on Election Day.) PUBLIC COMMENT Judge Pittman thanked the Board for their quick action in support of the Juvenile Transition Center changes.
