1 Technical Committee Prize Paper Award (Technical Committee Level) Each Technical Committee is entitled and encouraged to present one prize paper award to the author(s) of an outstanding technical paper in their committee. This award consists of a framed certificate for all authors. Most committees also choose to nominate the same paper for the Society-level Prize Paper Awards (by checking the appropriate box on the form). If they are to be considered for the Society-level Prize Paper Award, please be sure to have your nomination submitted to the Technical Committee Awards Chair by December 31 st. If selected as one of the Prize Paper Awards, each author will be presented with a plaque, recognition at the annual PES Awards Banquet, and $200 USD for a single author; $100 USD each for two (2) or more authors. If you are nominating a different paper for the Society-level Prize Paper Award you may use the same form, please just make a note somewhere on the form that you have chosen to nominate a different paper for consideration for this award.

3 Technical Committee Working Group Recognition Award (Technical Committee Level) Each Technical Committee is entitled and encouraged to recognize the chair and members of one outstanding working group for either a Technical Report or an Outstanding Standard/Guide. This award consists of a framed certificate for the Working Group officers and a certificate in a jacket for each member. The recognition can be for the development of a published standard/guide, a published technical report or other technical document. Working Group Recognition Award for Outstanding Technical Report or Outstanding Standard or Guide (Society-Level) Each Technical Committee is entitled and encouraged to nominate an Outstanding Working Group for consideration for this award. As this is for the Society-level award two working groups from all submissions received will be chosen, one in the category of Outstanding Technical Report and one in the category of Outstanding Standard or Guide. This award is presented at the annual PES Awards Banquet and consists of plaques for the officers and a mounted certificate for each member. If suitable nominations are not submitted PES has the right to not give the award in any given year. Most committees choose to nominate the same Working Group for the Technical Committee and the Society-level Award (by checking the appropriate box on the form).
