1 MAYBA Board and Staff Meeting Sunday, January 15, 2017 MAYBA Warehouse Board Members Present: Rene Maes, Jim Turner, John Clifford, Carrie Flanagan, Gary Noren, Mike Fox, Adam Arnoldy, Eric Casteel, Chad Surprenant, Leah Bridger, Mark Mitzel, Scott Wojcik Board Members Absent: (Excused): Dave Stengel, DeeDra Vosburg, Jessica Kuryla, Dave Collins, Chris Wiebers Staff Members Present: Rudy Kleist, Micha Degner, Lori Allen, Mary Scott, Bob Scott, Al Kiefer, Steve Wolle, Traci Sellner Staff Members Absent: The Meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by John Clifford Approval of Previous Minutes: A motion was made to approve the minutes by Eric Casteel and seconded by Gary Noren, Motion Approved.

2 Introductions of new board members: Scott Wojcik, Leah Bridger, Mark Mitzel Approval of new Slate/Members motion made by Jim Turner, seconded by Gary Noren. Motion Approved STAFF REPORTS: Registrations Manager - Lori Allan: Registration is open 108 have already signed up to date 7 financial aid applications Umpire-In-Chief - Steve Wolle: Equipment Manager - Rudy Kleist: Order needs to be in before Jan 21 Hats are ordered o Trying a new fabric to not show sweat rings Waiting on jersey information In-house jerseys have been ordered Vendors that have already been asked for submitting pricing: Mr Monogram, UTE, Nessler Gifts for the age levels o 10- cotton sweatshirt o 11- performance hoodie o 12- pullover o 13- majestic lightweight pullover

3 Pant deadline is February 1, for travel pants for the early bird pricing Warehouse Manager - Rudy Kleist and Micah Degner: New hours for warehouse Few new faces helping to work during the sessions Averaging about 25 kids per session Scheels will have a demo day for bats o Will be during one of the sessions at the Warehouse Travel Coordinator - Traci Sellner: Home tournament registrations are still coming in As of today there are 70+ teams signed up for home tourneys Will be a Gopher qualifier for all ages Waiting on confirmations for away tournaments Hotel sites and arrangements have been made with a couple left to make Coaches have been interviewed with a couple left to talk with in February Motion to approve the Non-Parent coaches list made by Gary Noren seconded by Eric Casteel. 4 COMMITTEE REPORTS: Finance Committee: Sponsorships Committee: Rene and Al have been working on sponsorships and looking at new ideas Need to start securing sponsorships for 2017 season There are a couple people who are not interested in renewing their contract Will need a couple more for team sponsoring Marketing Committee: Clinics Committee: MAYBA will host a skills clinic for 6 and 7 year olds and 8 and 9 year olds Clinics will be held at MSU, Loyola, East, Bethany and Rosa Parks o Clinic dates and times will be on the MAYBA website Travel Committee:

5 In-House Committee: Hall of Fame Committee: Nominations Committee: New Business/Other Items: Kiwanis Holiday Lights Volunteered three different days/nights Money that will be donated to MAYBE will be split amongst East and West since they showed up and helped with set up and take down Scheels sent MAYBA an additional $500 donation Bathrooms to be installed at Spring Lake Park and thinking of placing a concessions stand with the help of MAYBA Twin s Caravan is Monday, Jan 16 at the Kato Ballroom Special Thank You to Chad Surprenant for the donation made to Mankato East HS Registration flyers are ready to be delivered to the area elementary schools With no other business to discuss, a motion was made by Adam Arnoldy and seconded by Chad Surprenant to adjourn. 8 Approval of Allowable Expenses and Lawful Purpose Expenditures: Adam Arnoldy made a motion to approve previous meeting minutes, seconded by Bob Scott. Motion Approved GAMBLING REPORT- Rene Maes/Dave Collins: Going through a compliance review for quality control of our processes We have a new Compliance Specialist who will be coming to the warehouse to meet Thanks to those who helped with counting on Jan 1. Documents will be signed and submitted by January 31, 2017 Internal Audit will be required and Vince Small will help with the process 2016 was great for Gambling: Net after ALL expenses was a little over $71,000 down a little from 2015 E-Tabs were down a little: two sites who are using them Bar Bingo at Ummies is starting to pick up more and should continue as the marketing continues John Clifford made a motion to approve $250 bonus to Alex Maes, seconded by Gary Noren. Motion Approved With no other business to discuss, a motion was made by Adam Arnoldy and seconded by Chad Surprenant to adjourn. Motion Approved. Meeting Adjourned at 7:30pm.
