As signed into law, current waiver authority is unchanged (which allows waivers for certain transportation safety rules as per 45 CFR 1310), and basis for Head Start transportation rules remains unchanged. The enacted version of this bill also calls for coordination between Head Start (and Early Head Start) programs and the activities of their local educational and pre-school agencies, for which coordinated transportation is listed as a possible activity.
