This meeting is called in conformance with the Open Public Meetings Act with adequate notice provided as follows: 1. 2 B. Appointments 1. Treasurer of School Monies It is recommended that Thomas Merchel be appointed Treasurer of School Monies for the school year. C. Routine Matters for Reorganization 1. Official Newspaper It is recommended that the Burlington County Times, Courier Post and Moorestown Sun be designated official newspapers for the school district until the next reorganization meeting. 2. Annual Meeting Notice It is recommended that the schedule of regular monthly Board meetings and special Executive meetings be adopted as listed in Exhibit # Depositories It is recommended that TD Bank be designated official bank depository for the following board accounts for the school year: Food Service General Payroll Agency Payroll Salary Student Funds Summer Reserve Unemployment Trust and that the following financial institutions and investment providers be approved as depositories for Board funds for investment purposes for fiscal year and contingent upon notification, where applicable, of eligibility under the Government Unit Deposit Protection Act: Beneficial Bank Bank of America TD Bank Cornerstone Bank PNC. Special Education Out-of-District Placements Information Summary: The following Moorestown special education out-of-district student is recommended for placement in the appropriate program and school as mandated in the Individualized Education Program (IEP). I recommend that the Board approve the special education student placement listed on Exhibit # for the school year at the location indicated at the approved tuition rate with transportation provided. 2. Burlington County Alternative High School Placements for Information Summary The students listed are recommended for placement in the program at Burlington County Alternative High School. 5

6 I recommend that the Board approve the students listed on Exhibit # for the school year at Burlington County Alternative High School at the prevailing tuition rate not to exceed state maximum rate with transportation provided. 3. Home Instruction Information Summary Home Instruction students during the school year. I recommend that the Board approve the Home Instruction students listed on Exhibit # for the school year. See Exhibit # I.D.E.A. Amended Application Information Summary I recommend that the Board approve the amended I.D.E.A. application attached as Exhibit # C. Finance and Business 1. Transportation Contract Addendum Information Summary Routine Action See Exhibit # I recommend that the board approve the addendum to Transportation Contract VR41 increasing the contract by $14.50 per day effective 2/1/10. 6

7 2. Donations Information Summary Formal acceptance of donations to the district is required by Board policy. I recommend the Board accept the following donations attached as Exhibit # a. Lamps for High School Auditorium lighting system from Fred Binter. b. $1,000 donation towards Moorestown High School fall play from Dr. Judith Carpenter. c. $500 donation for the Madrigals from Dr. Judith Carpenter Action on the following items will be deferred until after Executive Session. D. Employee Relations I recommend approval of the following: 1. Appointments Subject to background checks as required by P.L c116, for the school year. Colleen Forrester, as.5 FTE Special Education Teacher at Roberts Elementary School. Ms. Forrester has a BA from Rutgers University. She has been placed on Column BA, Step 1-2 of the Professional Salary Guide at a salary of $23, ($46,631 *.5) prorated, effective March 22, 2010 through June 30, Change of Assignment Subject to background checks as required by P.L c116, for the school year. 7

12 XII. XIII. Public Comments Executive Session WHEREAS, N.J.S.A.10:4-6 ET.SEQ. ( The Open Public Meetings Act ), authorizes Board of Education to meet in executive session under certain circumstances, and WHEREAS, the Open Public Meetings Act requires that the Board adopt a resolution at a public meeting to go into private session, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of Moorestown Township, that it is necessary to meet in executive session to discuss the following: 1. Personnel Agenda Items 2. Negotiations Committee Report BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the discussion of such subject matter in closed session be disclosed to public when the matter has been settled, unless such is prohibited by law.
