1 TCNJ Manhunt Club CONSTITUTION ARTICLE I NAME OF CLUB The name of this club shall be TCNJ Manhunt Club. ARTICLE II PURPOSE OF CLUB The purpose of TCNJ Manhunt Club is to give students the opportunity to play manhunt and manhunt variations, such as capture the flag, jailbreak, NERF inspired games, and HvZ, in a safe, friendly, environment. It will allow students to come meet a wide variety of people that share a common interest and foster newly created friendships among its members. ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Members shall not be discriminated against based on race, religion sex, color, handicap, age, sexual orientation, or for any other reason. Except as otherwise provided in this section, student organizations are open and limited to all TCNJ students who meet the criteria of these organizations. No student who meets the other criteria of an organization can be denied membership on the basis of a protected class: age, race, creed, color, national origin, nationality, ancestry, sex/gender (including pregnancy), marital status, civil union status, domestic partner status, familial status, religion, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait, genetic information, liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or disability. Exceptions include: a. Religious qualifications may be required by organizations whose aims are primarily sectarian. b. Sororities or fraternities that have been traditionally single sex organizations may limit membership to a single sex or gender expression. c. Club Sports teams recognized and advised through the College recreation program may limit membership to a single sex or gender expression provided there is a co-existing team of the same or substantially similar sport for the opposite sex or gender expression. Any TCNJ student who attends at least two manhunt events each semester will be a member of the club. Six weeks into a semester will count as a new semester for the purposes of determining membership. Any TCNJ student who attends at least four manhunt events each semester will be an active member of the club. Eight weeks into a semester will count as a new semester for the purposes of determining active membership. Active membership may be used by the executive board as a metric for student engagement with the club. All active members are also members. A Quorum of Manhunt members or active members is when 75% of the Manhunt membership or active member membership is present. ARTICLE IV QUALIFICATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS Club officers must be a member of the club, currently enrolled, and have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). Officers will be President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Webmaster, Public Relations Officer, and Historian. The Officers shall be ranked in the order in which they are listed in Article IV section 2. Unless someone is designated to be in charge by a higher ranked officer, the highest ranked officer at a Manhunt meeting is in charge and responsible for ensuring the event runs smoothly.

2 Term of office shall be one year, starting immediately after elections. However, if an officer is placed in a position sometime throughout the year, the term of office is only until the next election. Club elections will be held at the last meeting in May or April. The officer positions will be voted on in order from highest ranked to lowest ranked (from president to historian). Members can run for each position until they are elected to one position or all positions are filled. Club members will vote in the election by closed by ballot. The current president and Vice-President will count the votes of elections they are not participants. In elections they are participants, they will nominate a member to count the votes and give a result. The advisor of the club may choose to take on the duty of counting the votes. At least one week before elections, club members may vote to have the advisor count the votes. The advisor may choose to nominate a neutral individual to count the votes if he or she is unable to attend elections. ARTICLE V DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS Section 1 Section 7. It shall be the duty of the President to call to order and chair all club and executive board meetings or appoint someone to do so in his absence if he/she or the Vice- President is unable to, moderate at all competitions where one has not been previously appointed, oversee all major aspects of the organization, and managing organization rules and regulations for each game where the rules and regulations have not been clearly defined by the executive board. It shall be the duty of the Vice-President to perform all duties delegated by the President, execute President s duties in his or her absence, and act as liaison for campus police. It is also his/her duty to organize and inform the Manhunt Medics of upcoming games and to make sure a Manhunt Medic can attend every Manhunt game. In the case this is not possible, he/she shall inform the President. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to handle all financial transactions concerning the organization, to organize fundraising events, to record all transactions made by TCNJ Manhunt Club, fill out and Submit SFB forms, attend passport to programming, and attend to financial matters as so deemed necessary by the Executive Board. It shall be the duty of the Secretary to take minutes at all executive board meetings and send them to the executive board, manage the and inform the president or the executive board of important s, members on the mailing list, and take attendance at all meetings. It shall be the duty of the Webmaster to develop and maintain the manhunt website and Lionsgate, coordinate any appointed assistant webmasters, aid in maintaining our online preference, and work with the Public Relations Officer to develop and post advertisements. It shall be the duty of the Public Relations Officer to spread positive information about TCNJ Manhunt club through any avenues available, find opportunities to cosponsor events with other clubs, notify the membership of events and schedule changes, work with the Webmaster to develop and post advertisements, and manage TCNJ Manhunt s social media with the help of the Webmaster. It shall be the duty of the Historian to develop and keep a scrapbook that should contain pictures of club members during the game and any interesting stories that may occur, take pictures at club events, and the Historian will coordinate with any appointed assistant historians in completing projects.

3 ARTICLE VI EXECUTIVE BOARD The Executive Board will consist of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Webmaster, Public Relations Officer, and Historian. It is expected that the executive board meet weekly unless circumstances prevent a meeting from happening, such as Humans vs. Zombies (HvZ). The President may decide it is necessary to meet more frequently or to hold special meetings. Duties of the Executive Board A. B. C. D. E. Create and define rules and regulations for games To ensure the purpose of the club is fulfilled During a meeting of the executive board, the board can make decisions for the club such as future club activities, meeting times, game rule changes, etc. The executive board members must vote on all decisions for the club. If majority of the executive board members vote in favor of a decision that is within the duties of the executive board, then Manhunt s executive board will execute and enforce the decision. Officers are responsible for completing any duties assigned to them by the Executive Board and accepted by the officer. ARTICLE VII COMMITTEES AND APPOINTED POSITIONS Section 7. The Manhunt Executive Board may appoint members of the club by majority vote to the following positions: A. Moderator B. Manhunt Medic C. Manhunt Mom D. Assistant Historian E. Assistant Webmaster It shall be the duty of the moderators to organize members and game play for games in which they are put in charge of by the executive board. They should try to make the game run smoothly. They may need to interpret rules established by the executive board and resolve disputes between players. It shall be the duty of the Manhunt Medics to act in the event of an injury during a game by diagnosing the patient and determining if medical assistance from Lions EMS is needed. They are required to have first aid certification and will function under direction of the Manhunt Medic Captain. It shall be the duty of Manhunt Moms to watch over the personal belongs of manhunt members while they are playing games. It shall be the duty of assistant historians to aid the Historian in his or her duties It shall be the duty of the assistant webmasters to aid the Webmaster in his or her duties. The Executive Board may create positions or committees as they deem necessary ARTICLE VIII FACULTY ADVISOR Section 1: Advisors will be chosen from faculty or administration. They will be approved by the executive board.

4 The role of the faculty advisor is to: A. Serve as the official staff representative of the college. B. Work closely with the club to ensure a cooperative relationship between the advisor, and the club membership. C. To sign all club/organization requisitions for the club/organizations, and to make sure that 1) the Treasurer or President or Vice-President signs it and 2) that the expenditure is correct within all existing policies. ARTICLE IX IMPEACHMENT/REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF OFFICER AND MEMBERS All elected officers and club members may be subjected to impeachment and removal. Grounds for impeachment are negligence and any form of misconduct which is damaging to the club. An officer may be impeached under the following conditions: An Executive Board member meets the grounds for impeachment and a member of the club initiates an impeachment vote at an official Manhunt meeting where a quorum of active members is present. The president or whoever is running the meeting shall facilitate the impeachment unless he or she is being impeached, in which case the next available highest ranked Executive Board member will facilitate the impeachment. Both parties will get a chance to explain their position. The impeachment will end in a closed ballot vote. Both parties and the facilitator must be present for counting of the votes. A 2/3 majority vote of the active membership in favor of impeachment will result in removal of the officer. An Executive Board member meets the grounds for impeachment and an Executive Board member initiates a vote to impeach him or her at an Executive Board meeting. Should majority of the executive board vote in favor of initiating impeachment, an impeachment vote will be held with at an official manhunt meeting, which can be called by the President or Vice-President, with a quorum of active manhunt members. The executive board may choose to put the Executive Board member that is up for impeachment on probation and restrict access to club accounts and property, unless that Executive Board officer is the president. The Executive Board will inform the active membership of their intent at least two days in advance of the impeachment. The impeachment will be facilitated by the president unless he is being impeached, in which case the Vice-President will facilitate the impeachment. Both parties will get a chance to explain their position before the closed ballot vote. Both parties and the facilitator must be present for counting of the votes. A majority vote of the active membership in favor of impeachment will result in removal of the officer. All abstentions during an impeachment vote do not count towards the total number of votes and essentially act as no vote being cast. If any officer positions becomes vacant, an election shall be held to fill it. If a member of the club is found to be in constant violation of club or campus rules, or is found to be overly reckless and not keeping safety in mind, the executive board members can vote to put that member on probation. Majority of the executive board is needed to vote in favor of the member being put on probation. A member on probation A member that is on probation will be watched closely and will often be restricted in what activities they can partake. The executive board will decide on the restrictions when they vote for a member s probation. If a member is found to be in repeated violation of club rules, campus rules, violates his or her probation, is harassing or abusing other members, or creates an unsafe or unfriendly environment for other members, the Executive Board can remove that member from the club with a majority vote.

5 ARTICLE X RESPONSIBILITIES This club accepts full financial responsibility for all activities that bear its name as official sponsor, and will adhere to college regulations. All publicity for an event must bear the name of the sponsoring club. ARTICLE XI RIGHT TO ACT Any club officer, club member does not have the right to incur any debt or become involved in any business under the title or by implying the title of a club in any way unless given full authority to do so by the club. ARTICLE XII Non-Student Members As long as two-thirds of the club remains comprised of TCNJ students, a non- TNCJ member may officially join the club. They must have two current members nominate them for membership at which point they are subject to all the same rules as a TCNJ member. However, non-student members cannot qualify as active members, do not count as a member for reaching a quorum, and they cannot vote on club matters such as elections and impeachments. ARTICLE XIII AMENDMENTS TO CONSTITUTION Any amendment change requires a two-thirds vote at a general club meeting and approved by majority of the Executive Board. Amendments must be submitted to the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Student Government for final approval.
