Wednesday, 9 August Petition of Catherine Wallace, requesting that the House of Representatives note that 4,687 people have signed a petition calling on the House of Representatives to: extend Schedule 4 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 to include associated islands and waters to 12 nautical miles from Te Moehau to Te Aroha, encompassing the entire Coromandel Ecological District; and to extend the Crown Minerals Act 1991 to ban further blasting, underground and open cast mining within residential zones or within 400m of any residence in the Coromandel/Hauraki region. (David Seymour) Justice and Electoral Thursday, 10 August Petition of Sue Moroney, requesting that the House of Representatives note that 54 people have signed a petition calling for the House to seek submissions and inquire into the establishment of a passenger rail service between Hamilton and Auckland, and note that these 54 people provide further support to the 11,499 people who petitioned the House of Representatives requesting the same thing in (Hon Nanaia Mahuta) Transport and Industrial Relations 145 Petition of Michael Gibson, requesting that the House of Representatives authorise the publication of a report giving details of the events leading to the resignation of the last Auditor-General including any reports prepared at tax-payers expense.
