Following the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence was observed. Mrs. Mazur read: The notice requirements of Section of the Ohio Revised Code and the implementing rules adopted by the Carrollton Exempted Village Board of Education pursuant thereof, have been and will be complied with for this meeting. Mrs. Mazur conducted the swearing in of newly elected Board Member, Mrs. Helen Skinner and reelected Board Members, Wendy Gotschall and Mike Pozderac. TREASURER S AUTHORITY 139- FY16 Mrs. Skinner moved, Mr. Roberts seconded that the Board authorize the Treasurer to: (1) Pay on abstracts and invoices, monthly salaries and bills within the approved appropriations; (2) Request from the Carroll County Auditor advances on tax settlements as monies are collected; (3) Invest the funds of the district as they are available; (4) Establish petty cash funds up to $250; (5) Establish funds as necessary when required by law or Auditor of State; (6) Open and read bids immediately after the time for filing bids has expired; (7) Do advance and advance returns to ensure proper accounting procedures. REGULAR MEETING WELCOME TO VISITORS President Seck expressed her appreciation to those in attendance for being there. SUPERINTENDENT S REPORT Dr. Quattrochi said that January was Board Appreciation Month. He presented the Board members with plaques and thanked them for trusting him to educate students. He feels very fortunate to have all of the Board members to work for. He also welcomed Mrs. Skinner back.

7 DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS REPORT Mr. Robinson reported that a hearing on the school calendar was scheduled, but it had to be rescheduled, due to weather conditions. He also reported that the discipline report for bullying and harassment indicated 14 incidents (much lower than last year s report). This information will be put on the school website. FINANCIAL REPORT Total Board Bills $ 625, Total Payroll $ 924, Beginning Balance All Funds $ 10,021, Ending Balance All Funds $ 9,710, Mrs. Mazur explained that these numbers were as of last Wednesday, January 6, 2016, prior to month- end closing. The books are now closed and any changes are negligible. PAYMENT OF BILLS 148- FY16 Mrs. Gotschall moved, Mr. Pozderac seconded that the Board approve payment of bills. TRANSFER/ADVANCE OF FUNDS 149- FY16 Mrs. Mazur asked if the Board needed to see the Advance/Advance Returns. She clarified that these are merely loans and repayments and are only temporary in nature. All agreed that from now on the Board only needed to see transfers, which are permanent. 8 STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT Mr. Nicholas gave a presentation and explanation on STARS testing data. He reported that Bell Herron is doing very well on RTI and Wilson Reading. He explained the House Project, which is a program to build comradery in the building. He has visited schools that have technology 1-1 plans (one tech device for every student). BUCKEYE CAREER CENTER Mr. Pozderac reported that the grading for the Straight A Grant would begin December 30 th. He will keep the BCC Board informed of the status of the grant. Mr. Bob Alsept, Superintendent wished Carla Cooper, Treasurer good luck on her retirement. ADJUST DATES OF FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE ACT (FMLA) 150- FY16 At the November 3, 2015 meeting of the Board of Education, FMLA was approved for Kathleen Payne de Chavez for the dates of November 11, January 6, Those dates need to be adjusted to December 10, March 17, Mr. Roberts moved, Mrs. Gotschall seconded that the Board adjust the FMLA dates of Kathleen Payne de Chavez do December 10, March 17, Roll call: Mr. Roberts, yea; Mrs. Gotschall, yea; Mr. Pozderac, yea; Mrs. Skinner, yea; Mrs. Seck, yea. 9 COMDOC AGREEMENT 153- FY16 This agreement includes labor, parts, printer cartridges (should save the district approximately $3, a year in toner cost) and unlimited FM Audit licenses. Mrs. Skinner moved, Mr. Roberts seconded that the Board enter into an agreement with ComDoc for managed print services for a 36 month period at a monthly payment of $448.00, as presented.
